Romans 1 answers that question.
They may not know what all sin is, but they know they are sinners, and some of the stuff they have done cause them to be disqualified. Thus they have no excuse.

Rom 1
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth [l]in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident [m]within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not [n]honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and [o]crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for [p]a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed [q]forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is [r]unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing [s]indecent acts and receiving in [t]their own persons the due penalty of their error.
28 And just as they did not see fit [u]to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they aregossips, 30 slanderers, [v]haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

Romans 1 says no one has an excuse. I have to go By Gods word.At my new church there are a few people i know..first time in a church..dont know anything bout the Bible and society has dictated thier morals n lifestyle..there is a TON of things as seasoned christians that WE know are right n wrong in Gods eyes but they dont have a clue..they havent been convicted bout things in thie life by the HS or know Gods statues..is God going to point the finger n say "a sin is a sin is a sin..no EXCUSE!"..NO nor will they be held accountable bevause they dont know any better...
We might be lolI think we are talking bout two VERY DIFFERENT things here!
Romans 1 says no one has an excuse. I have to go By Gods word.
God does not have to point the finger, When these people stand in front of God, Ignorance is not going to help them. The HS was sent to convict the world of sin righteousness and judgment. Those people are part of the world
Now do they need to here the gospel? Yes But to excuse their sin? God will nto do that.
"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20)
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).
The non belieber..in his carnal mind does not know the ways of God and what God expects for a person to libe a righteous life..God OR the HS doesnt dwell im His life..
Even as seasoned believers..we know more NOW than as baby christians..God will judge by what we know..not by what we didnt..
I do not have to have the HS for him to convict me, It is part of Gods job, to bring people to himself. When a person rejects God, they reject what the HS has tried to show them. That is what will condemn them. You dont have the HS until saved..and the HS is also a "comforter" not a judge or to condemn
I also think thiers "obvious sins"..sex before marriage but what about being convictive of pride...non believer or baby christian going to know that pride is a sin?
God's theology and our psychology often come to blows. Sometimes we have loved ones that are lost and we just don't want to believe they will not be in heaven with us - is it possible that you are looking for loopholes to somehow appease your fears?
I believe romans 1 is talking bout people that have HEARD N KNOWN bout God but have REJECTED Him..thats not my "for instamce" at all..Romans 1 says no one has an excuse. I have to go By Gods word.
God does not have to point the finger, When these people stand in front of God, Ignorance is not going to help them. The HS was sent to convict the world of sin righteousness and judgment. Those people are part of the world

Saved means saved sins forgiven and cast as far as the east is from the west. Bearing fruit takes time, bearing his fruit in his season is part of an old memory verse comes to mind. If people were instantly, miraculously changed into perfect. Teaching obedience would be unnecessary. At my new church there are a few people i know..first time in a church..dont know anything bout the Bible and society has dictated thier morals n lifestyle..there is a TON of things as seasoned christians that WE know are right n wrong in Gods eyes but they dont have a clue..they havent been convicted bout things in thie life by the HS or know Gods statues..is God going to point the finger n say "a sin is a sin is a sin..no EXCUSE!"..NO nor will they be held accountable bevause they dont know any better...
So without going to research..WHY couldnt they eat shellfish..what was the thinking behind it?
