Yes, I did see the other versions and not one of them is exactly as he posted. This makes what he posted to be his words and not any scripture. You cannot change a single thing and it remain scripture. Why don't you simply allow for dc to respond to this. I did not direct my questions to you. At least, not yet I haven't.

There was no divisions in the church except for the great schism. That divided the church between Rome and Constantinople. The Roman church was the western catholic (universal) church and the Eastern church became the Orthodox church. Later on they capitalized Catholic. Dissension remained inside each church. With the Catholic Church it became public with Martin Luther nailing his thesis to the door of the church. That was the practice then to start a dialog. A printer took it down to copy it and replaced it. He then published the thesis and the reformation was started. Luther held their feet to the fire for doing non Biblical things (giving a paper saying a dead person would go to heaven and collect money for it from relatives). It is worth noting that the Catholic Church never admitted they were wrong but has never done it since then.

I didn't come here because you directed me anywhere. Contrary to what you are thinking, I don't accept your directions. I was browsing and will bring truth here regarding works, if we can get past a couple other simple issues first.

You can pick a verse where they say the same thing. The problem is there are verses where KJV stands alone from modern translations due to the change in language over 400 years. Words have disappeared and others changed their meaning. Here is the 10 commandments in NIV and KJV. I highlighted one major and one somewhat minor one.
