Actually Jesus explains exactly why He "Never knew them" in the parts of His Word's that you conveniently omitted. It's just the opposite of what you preach. He didn't reject them because the were doing works. He rejected them for the same reason He rejected the Pharisees. They were doing Works, just not obedient works.

Matt. 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

So Jesus says we need works Decon. "doing God's Will" is a work, Despite your religion and preaching to the contrary.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

They, just like you, have works Decon. Sunday worship, Christmas, feeding random poor people, getting folks off drugs, etc.

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Transgress God's Commandments)

They had works, they were just disobedient to His Fathers Commandments like the Pharisees, the Mainstream Preachers of Christ's time.. I can easily see why you would reject this part of Jesus Word given your constant boasting about your religious traditions.

What is it with you and your apparent dislike for what Jesus actually Says. You did the same thing regarding your preaching that the Pharisees were following God's Laws. You know, you should look into your preaching instead of condemning folks who trust ALL of Jesus Word, not just the parts that can be used to further ancient Catholic traditions.

You would miss the sign in Hollywood even if you were standing in front of it and it was painted neon orange....he rejected them because they were not saved because they had faith in works instead if Christ....no worries as your dogma meets the same standard!

That's right. That means if we aren't doing anything then we don't have Him. Our lawless disobedience showing that we do not know Him. We will be rejected when Jesus comes back. Not saved.

No amount of Bible study leading, church attending, church program participation, pastoring, giving, no positive confessions of being saved, no boast of his grace, no work of service or praise for God will save the person who is not producing the fruit of the Spirit because they do not know Him.

Matthew 7:21-23 is an indictment of every 'faith alone' Christian busy spreading their 'you do not have to have works to be saved when Jesus comes back because salvation is not by works and once you are saved you are always saved' gospel. Only those who do the will of the Father will be saved when He returns.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter."-Matthew 7:21

Works show that you know Christ and are saved by faith in his forgiveness, and will be saved when He returns.

When you going to LEARN, and LISTEN, and get the RIGHT motive for BIBLICAL Obedience correct.

HE said they are all doing something they THINK it was for the LORD. The DIFFERENCE IS PURELY LOVE. If the motive is NOT for LOVE of the LORD, IT IS A PYLE OF FILTHY RAGS. Where does that LOVE COME FORM? That is GOD's LOVE that the Holy Spirit poured into our Hearts, Rom. 5:5. That is exactly what JESUS MEANT when HE said, "I never knew you." That is a reference to the INNER PERSONAL LOVE RELATIONSHIP THAT ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE A GENUINE LOVE FOR HIM, HAVING RECEIVED HIM, WILLINGLY AS LORD, ACTUALLY HAVE. It is not just doing what you perceive as obedience, it is DOING IT FOR THE RIGHT MOTIVE.
