That's probably why Scripture calls it "saved" and not "probation." Some on here see it as probation.

define "they" if you really think that's what goes on here then you could use some fine tuning,when God is included things will get either gentle or heated,his word is like a fire to us that we must speak unto others,if It's not a fire to someone then that someone has yet to work for God and only likes being saved not doing for God,and so don't grow in spirit,you do have a point though many a person has come to this thread,with "hurt as their intention" and "Jesus as their shield to hide behind" but any thread can become bad,all it takes is one or two sour apples and you have a miserable mess.All you have to do is get off this toxic thread. Nah you know that banning is reserved for "trouble wanters" that insult,mock,or seek hurt on others maliciously,we may disagree on things of God,big deal so did paul and peter in the bible,it happens and life goes.
PHart please let us know how you feel about alcohol? Lutherans use wine in the communion instead of grape juice and some pentecostals and baptists REALLY dislike it.

I only have two issues with it....
a. It is called the fruit of the vine....not wine
b. Wine is made by juice, sugar and YEAST<----yeast is leavening....think about that a minute

Are you referring to the feast of unleavened bread or? In my finnish bible fruit of the vine means literally translated "product of a winetree" so I guess that is why I look at it differently.

I won't forget seeing dcon's profile though, which someone shared to 'highlight' who he was, which then got that person banned.
While wearing a horse mask he was putting the middle finger to the camera. How Christian does that picture choice sound? It just confirmed what I already knew, and why this thread which in essence he runs and lives on, is the way it is.
Like attracts like, so we have people like eternally-gratefull, preacher4truth, TruthTalk here. Those are just a few names.
It seems like they always need a victim to bully to some degree, and this is subconscious. Because I have empathy, I think maybe at some point in their life, maybe they were bullied, or were a victim. I know some things about some of them and it makes sense, their struggles. What happens to a person like this, is in denial of it and 'wanting to appear strong', what they feel negative about in their personal lives, comes through in how they speak.
In their need to feel that they are doing God's work, or to feel that God is present in their struggles, they need to scapegoat someone who 'stands up for their own beliefs' and belittle them, and point out that they are acting against God, or correct them and correct them. One of the common tactics of bullies, is to accuse a person, of everything THEY are doing.
Jesus stood up for his beliefs, in the face of destruction. And no I'm not making a comparison that people here are like Jesus. What I'm saying is that where someone stands up for a belief which is greatly different to those around them, the people who milk it are not so unlike the Pharisees.
But at the same time, the spirit of Jesus is in everyone, whether they realise it or not. When a bully comes to realise it, he chooses to love rather than be right. And will question whether he was always right when he believed he was right.
Often being right, is not always the right thing to do. Often being right, is wrong, because being right, often requires distortion or belittlement of another, otherwise known as defilement.

In real life, when someone experiences psychological bullying, if possible they remove themselves from that persons presence. But what does the bully do? They wait for the next victim to come along.

well I knew she would be in here defending him. Yet she wonders why people think she is steeped in legalism. She defends legalism and those bound by it.

Love and truth go hand in hand......you cannot have one without the other right....the truth is simple....all are low life scum bag sinners and law breakers....there is none good no not one, all ur righteousnesses are as filthy rags and our iniquities like the wind have taken us away, there are NONE that seek after him and that which is and was designed to prove our guilt will never make us righteous and or justify us before GOD.....Those who exercise faith into JESUS are saved, justified, sealed and sanctified in Christ eternally by faith.....it has zero to do with our adherence to any law, work, fruit or act other than faith....and the law is fulfilled in ALL who have believed because the imputed righteousness of Christ, of GOD without the law is applied to our account on his behalf and this is what JUSTIFIES US BEFORE GOD....WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, NOT WORKS, NOT ADHERANCE TO SOME LAW which can never justify, HE states clearly I WILL PASS OVER YOU.......end of story.......this is the truth and to tell someone differently is not LOVING GOD nor is it loving MAN.......

Commandments don't save us, Yashua (YHWH's Salvation) does. This does not mean we are not to be obedient.
