I don't care for the tone taken by some in this thread. If people can't speak in a civil manner in discussing a bible topic, I think I will refrain from posting here for the time being. /shakes head

I want to address this now. Is the law written on our hearts for the body of Christ, or was that for Israel who was under the law?

My thought is no, it is not. We receive a new "heart". A new nature. We become Spiritual men and women, and carnality is put to death. We put our faith in this work of Jesus on a daily basis. No need for law. Law only was to point out mans sin. To show that the good of the knowledge of the wrong tree, is nothing like the good of the tree of Life, who is Jesus.

So He gives us of Himself, a measure. And our measure increases as we grow in the knowledge of Him.

This is the new covenant and the old is passing away. More and more as we gain revelation of truth.

Yes I agree fully, and want to add that yes His goal is to fill His Kingdom, and we all have differnt roles in serveing Him in that goal;

1 Corinthians 12:12-18, "For just as the body is a unity, but yet has many members; and though all its members are many, they are one body: so it is with Messiah. Or you could let iron sharpen iron? I know it's not pleasant, but I think it's necessary.

Try to rise above it and not respond accordingly.

Stick with it.

I see you as someone willing to discuss and contribute rather than impose and condemn.

We may not agree on various things and if so I won’t condemn you (unless of course you tell me I’m wrong:cool:)

You set "the tone" when you came in telling others they don't believe portions of Scripture.

Namely me.

This was your accusation, and it was totally uncalled for. I requested you behave like an honest Christian, instead.

You were un-civil, and frankly, you lied. You didn't "misunderstand me" as you tried to claim, you simply went off with a false accusation based on nothing I stated.

I don't get why some of you pull this on others, but it's callow, honestly, and ad nauseam.

I didn't care for what you did, nor how you cannot own it, but not going to tuck tail and leave over it.

Just trying to have honest discussion...expecting other believers to be, you know, honest.

(Paul compares judgement for Christians to judgement under the law, and states that Christians will be judged more severely for trampling the Son of God underfoot)​

I must admit, no matter how many times I read this, I definitely for sure take it as a warning , I used to think it was not written for me, but no matter what, the more I read it, it has sunk into me deep, if it were not for me then the Holy Spirit would not have it written on my heart...

To me it means, when we fall on our knees in truth at that moment when God calls us to His beloved Son, we accept that Jesus is our Saviour, I believe this verse reminds us that our LORD went through the most horrific death for us, not only on the cross, but also the build up in the garden where He sweated like clots of blood, the anguish He must of been feeling is over whelming just to think about it :(...So for those who have come to know the truth, but carry on living in repeated sin where God has clearly given us a way out , to escape temptations, but we refuse and live back in the worldly ways, then this is where this warning comes in, but this is just my opinion, it`s enough to make me want to keep reaching out to my Saviour, following Him as He leads me...xox...I am not talking about sins that our Lord is dealing with that we are walking away from, God is patient and long suffering, merciful and gracious, but deliberate sin is another matter...xox...

AMEN....hope in the bible -->a confident expectation of something guaranteed..........the promises of God/Jesus stand sure...we can take him at his word concerning eternal life.....

To be honest it was two fold.
A bit of humour and also to make a point.
The point being that some actually are like this.

I know for sure you are not like this.

I'm sorry, Dave. I was referencing yesterday's events on here, when I was calling this thread God forsaken. No offense meant. :)
