Just because we are "subject" to sin, (the sins committed around us), doesn't mean we must still commit sin too.

Here is another ironic statement. The real pharisees never did this, and other than the sinless
perfectionists, nobody here does.

dc will slander, exagerate, miss-represent, put words in others mouths, say they are saying something
they are not saying, believing something they are not believing, and then claim he speaks the truth,
while denying simple scripture.

What is staggering is the audacity of it. Not because it is some complex worked out theology, but
because it is simple and plainly wrong.

We are cleansed and made Holy by Christ and the Holy Spirit. But they simply do not believe this
is possible, though Paul described himself as living a Holy life, and encouraged others to live a Holy
live, lifting up Holy hands in prayer. You have to wonder where their bible is, to miss this obvious
reality. It is because they condemn themselves all the time, and feel so defeated there is no point
where they are overcomers. I have one word for this position, disbelief.

Ironic they believe disbelief is the only unforgivable sin left. Funny how if you create your own theology
you end up destroying yourself, even though you think you are totally secure with no possibility of failure.

It is like dc and his military picture. He did not choose it someone else did. Lol. He wants to push his
army background, and his gun totting life style. I can imagine either you convert or are blown away,
sounds like Riddick, lol hahahahahahahaha.

If you notice the above post, the writer is talking specifically about DC.
Now, look below, and see what DC and his partners did with it:

Hi Decon, I am offended as well by Jen's, scratch though the surface of Jen's and he is just like any false teacher; full of wicked lies, morally and spiritually bankrupt. Put him far away.

Now, we see PeterJens being called a false teacher, a veteran hater, and he needs to be banned. Just because he called the owner of the thread out.

This seems to be a habit in this thread. Someone needs to notice the abuse of power in this thread, and the lack of discipline to keep it decent and in order.

You mistake what we are saying. Laws are for controlling the nature of fallen man. Fallen man cannot perfectly perform what the law requires. So we die. But, eternal life given through the exchange of innocence to the guilty by the Cross and the resurrection of the perfect one, bringing us up with Him in newness of life, we live by the grace of God. Unmerited favor and the power of His endless life. In Him. We then work as we hear, and as we see. Led by the Spirit.

Its joy to obey /believe.

Stones, I can't find anywhere in the Bible where it says "sanctified by my works and deeds", and I looked hard.

I wonder how PJW explains that away?

Why would I need to?
It isn't anything I would believe.

What I do believe is that after our sanctification there is nothing to force us to return to sin.
With God's Spirit in us we have the power to conquer temptation at every attack of the devil.
Do you consider resisting temptation a "work"?

Good observations.
As "faith cometh by hearing", nobody will come to Christ on a computer program.
Men need to hear the word.

I consider this "service" as practice for the real world, where the rebellious can just walk away.
And the folks that really have an interest in serving God can question me till the sun comes up...if necessary.

Whether they Verbally insult us Veterans, or INSULT US By taking an knee during the playing of the National Anthem, it is the SAME sickening kind of disrespect Veterans got coming home during the Vietnam Era, many were even spit on. No difference at all. I was lucky our plane landed at 1:00 AM, and the Stewardess told us, "You are lucky, the Protesters already went home." My Dad was a Mechine Gunner in WWII, in the Thick of it crossing the Rhine. My Grandfather was in the Navy in WWI. I am proud to have served in the USAF for four years. FOR GOD AND COUNTY.

John chapter 3 verse 19: this is the verdict: light has come into the world but men loved Darkness instead of light because their DEEDS were evil.
John Chapter 14 verse 12: I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.
John Chapter 14 verse 15: if you love me, you will obey what I command.
John chapter 14 verse 21: Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.
John Chapter 14 verse 23: Jesus replied if anyone loves me he will obey my teaching.
John chapter 14 verse 24: he who does not love me will not obey my teaching.

Men lead by the Holy Spirit:
1st Corinthians chapter 7 verse 19: circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands is what counts.
Hebrews chapter 10 verse 26 and 27: If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth no sacrifice for sins is left but only a fearful expectation of judgement and a raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
James chapter 2 verse 17: in the same way, Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James chapter 2 verse 24: you see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. (Speaking of Abraham offering is son Isaac on the altar as commanded.)
Hebrews 6:11-12: we want each of you to show the same diligence to the very end in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews chapter 4:9-12: there remains than a Sabbath rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.

No one wants to obey commands and seek Jesus as commanded. Or do anything Jesus commanded. True repentance of sins is closely followed by obedience and turning from sin. That's why he says, SIN NO MORE.

Faith plus works, righteous deeds, self adulation, doing anything, law keeping, command keeping etc. = a false dogma with no power to save.....and NO ONE is saying that we do not serve........

Not sure what you are objecting to VCO. The righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is a position. The soul and body still is in need of salvation. While we won't be perfect in this life, we will continue being formed in His image as we "see" Him.
