Just because we are "subject" to sin, (the sins committed around us), doesn't mean we must still commit sin too.
At our best, we still miss the mark.
Just because we are "subject" to sin, (the sins committed around us), doesn't mean we must still commit sin too.
Here is another ironic statement. The real pharisees never did this, and other than the sinless
perfectionists, nobody here does.
dc will slander, exagerate, miss-represent, put words in others mouths, say they are saying something
they are not saying, believing something they are not believing, and then claim he speaks the truth,
while denying simple scripture.
What is staggering is the audacity of it. Not because it is some complex worked out theology, but
because it is simple and plainly wrong.
We are cleansed and made Holy by Christ and the Holy Spirit. But they simply do not believe this
is possible, though Paul described himself as living a Holy life, and encouraged others to live a Holy
live, lifting up Holy hands in prayer. You have to wonder where their bible is, to miss this obvious
reality. It is because they condemn themselves all the time, and feel so defeated there is no point
where they are overcomers. I have one word for this position, disbelief.
Ironic they believe disbelief is the only unforgivable sin left. Funny how if you create your own theology
you end up destroying yourself, even though you think you are totally secure with no possibility of failure.
It is like dc and his military picture. He did not choose it someone else did. Lol. He wants to push his
army background, and his gun totting life style. I can imagine either you convert or are blown away,
sounds like Riddick, lol hahahahahahahaha.
How did we get to this? Why did DC pull the veterans into this when they weren't even mentioned?I know I dish heat to all that I disagree with biblically, and have no problem or even anger when they dish it back in any and all forms....but let me tell you....I served honorably, was discharged honorably and it fires me to no end when someone dishonors the men and women who have given their lives, time, service for the free Democracies of the world...especially when it is a mouth that has not served, suffered, bled or died for freedom.
One twists the whole thing to slander PeterJens, and another comes in crying "Ban him"!PeterJens diserves to be BANNED for that kind of personal insult to Veterans. I TOOK IT AS AN INSULT TO MY TIME OF SERVING IN THE MILITARY TOO. What was the post number, I will report it too.
Again, where did these invisible "others" come from?I served my country honorably as a MARINE pal...and I for one am sick of you dishonoring my military service and others as well.....
Now, we see PeterJens being called a false teacher, a veteran hater, and he needs to be banned. Just because he called the owner of the thread out.Hi Decon, I am offended as well by Jen's, scratch though the surface of Jen's and he is just like any false teacher; full of wicked lies, morally and spiritually bankrupt. Put him far away.
Your words say it's not okay, but your actions say it doesn't matter. Now you are just lying....funny thing....the worst liars always seem to be the working for crowd.....no one is saying it is ok to keep on sinning....how does lying help keep you saved when you push a sinless working for cracker jack theology?
The rebellious will be given just enough rope to hang themselves.
Thanks be to God for making a way to remain obedient, to remain in the light, to remain in the Spirit...instead of in the "flesh".
BTW, there are 100%ers on earth now...thanks be to God.
Do we not find it sad that this same topic keeps coming up? No matter what one side tells the other, or how many names one calls the other, it doesn't change the mind of anyone. If all you wish is a fight, then by all means go out and find one.
Why would I need to?Stones, I can't find anywhere in the Bible where it says "sanctified by my works and deeds", and I looked hard.
I wonder how PJW explains that away?
Be like Jesus? He won’t be able to.
Verses posted out of context with no explanation of why.
When you disagree you are a servant of sin because you acknowledge sin as a beleiver.
And If you do you have a backsack with all your sins in them whilst going to hell.
Cultic to the very core.
I advise everyone here to ignore him.
There are people on here that we don’t necessarily agree with but I know they want to encourage us to be like Jesus and grow in him
Keep the Law?100%ers......sure.......you are in for a rude awakening one day soon......none of you keep the law and to think you do.....makes JESUS himself into a LIAR....he said NONE are good but God.....and there is not a JUST man upon the earth that does good and sins not.....Keep deceiving yourself......
Hi, RR.Do we not find it sad that this same topic keeps coming up? No matter what one side tells the other, or how many names one calls the other, it doesn't change the mind of anyone. If all you wish is a fight, then by all means go out and find one.

If obedience to God is wicked, poisonous, and leads to despair, what would you call a doctrine that advocates sin, while lying about faith in Christ?Hi Decon, False teachers are cunning and treacherous, they would lead astray even Gods elect if that were possible. Their wicked doctrines show on the outside how morally and spiritually bankrupt they are on the inside. They are alway's looking for the young and innocent believers, who they can feed their sugar coated poisonous words to, and then lead them astray. There is nothing good about their
message and it only leads to despair, and darkness.

Why then should we believe that one can go for "periods of time" without sin?ahh ok, yeah that is non sense. maybe go for periods where one does not sin, but to say never... yeah not buying it.
Paul wrote..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)Listening to James White tonight and he was clarifying these who do such things (add to faith, merit, effort, maintaining &c) are called false brothers according to Scripture.
He's correct.
Would that be the "truth" Jesus said could free you from service to sin? (John 8:32-34)Amen to that...anything and all who elevate anything above JESUS is contrary to the truth......
Welcome to the "chat".You people need to see what Jesus said. He was very explicit.
Matthew chapter 5 verse 16: and the same way let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in Heaven.
Matthew chapter 5 verse 20: For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 22:37-38: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the First and greatest commandment.i
John chapter 3 verse 19: this is the verdict: light has come into the world but men loved Darkness instead of light because their DEEDS were evil.
John Chapter 14 verse 12: I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.
John Chapter 14 verse 15: if you love me, you will obey what I command.
John chapter 14 verse 21: Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.
John Chapter 14 verse 23: Jesus replied if anyone loves me he will obey my teaching.
John chapter 14 verse 24: he who does not love me will not obey my teaching.
John chapter 15 verse 8: this is to my Father's Glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
John 15 verse 10: If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.
Matthew chapter 28 verse 18-20: then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on Earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all Nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I Am With You Always to the very end of the age.
Men lead by the Holy Spirit:
1st Corinthians chapter 7 verse 19: circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands is what counts.
Hebrews chapter 10 verse 26 and 27: If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth no sacrifice for sins is left but only a fearful expectation of judgement and a raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
James chapter 2 verse 17: in the same way, Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James chapter 2 verse 24: you see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. (Speaking of Abraham offering is son Isaac on the altar as commanded.)
Hebrews 6:11-12: we want each of you to show the same diligence to the very end in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews chapter 4:9-12: there remains than a Sabbath rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
No one wants to obey commands and seek Jesus as commanded. Or do anything Jesus commanded. True repentance of sins is closely followed by obedience and turning from sin. That's why he says, SIN NO MORE.
I agree completely.I bet George Washington did not pick as many cherries as you have for this post.....and that is not the point of this thread.....salvation is by faith ALONE......any righteous work, deed, fruit is the direct result of the faith and salvation one already possesses in Christ......
Faith plus works, righteous deeds, self adulation, doing anything, law keeping, command keeping etc. = a false dogma with no power to save.....and NO ONE is saying that we do not serve........
I wish you had proceeded with the verses from John about that seed..."Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." (1 John 3:9)I will also add.....
David described the blessedness of the man to who God imputes RIGHTEOUSNESS without WORKS
ALL who have exercised genuine faith have had the RIGHTEOUSNESS of CHRIST applied by faith and the SPIRIT has been born AGAIN by INCURRUPTABLE SEED..........
A real "turn from" sin would preclude more sin.here we go again, Another deciever and slanderer. When will you people stop with this nonsense? No one here it teaching it is ok to sin, Well except for the legalists who excuse their own sin while judging others of their sin.
Do you think Paul was seducing us with..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)Not sure what you are objecting to VCO. The righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is a position. The soul and body still is in need of salvation. While we won't be perfect in this life, we will continue being formed in His image as we "see" Him.
Did i say sinless perfection? No. I don't believe it.
It looks to me like you never crucified the "old" you. (Rom 6:3-6)At our best, we still miss the mark.
