If we were worthy we would not be in need of grace.
Grace is unmerited favor. Grace is a gift from God.
Webster's New World College Dictionary provides this theological definition of grace: "The unmerited love and favor of God toward human beings; divine influence acting in a person to make the person pure, morally strong; the condition of a person brought to God's favor through this influence; a special virtue, gift, or help given to a person by God."
Some express it like this:
God's
Riches
At
Christ's
Expense
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all
sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
no just that for a moment you sounded like one lol,all in silly humor,it's just that when you finished your post you said,
we will be waiting lol, oppurtune time to make a silly joke at the same time as perhaps inspire people to "Read the Bible"!

Hi joe...I believe our mind is only re-newed by keep in the Word every day or most days...If we don`t, our minds can fall back into worldly thinking...I once heard a preacher say " If we feed on the word of God daily, even if we only get a crumb, than we have eaten our daily bread, if we stay away from the word, then we become skinny to the point of starvation "...Renewing of the mind is a daily thing because that is where the battle ground is where satan hits us...xox...very good, yes I spoke on the physical heart, but once having the holy spirit we are "changed" in many aspects including our heart as well as mind.
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Stephen63 again.
this is what I asked yesterday and nothing...
Hi EG
When ministering in the Spirit...speaking like in Revelations, I was in the Spirit on the Lords day, one is full. You will do things and say things by His power and as if it's the most natural thing, but is supernatural. Not sure if anyone can understand except by the experience.
For one to think on a regular basis that we are just poor sinners saved by grace, we are denying His Word that we are no longer flesh but Spirit, and denying the power to transform.
Initially, we aren't worthy of anything, true; only by His declaration that He makes us worthy. But, making us worthy is positional just like righteousness, yet worked out by Holy Spirit in our life's experience.
So that at the end of our life or the end of all time, we want to hear Him declare over us...
Rev 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Rev 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
This is what Meggido is talking about.
This is not a salvation issue but rewards.
It is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.
All your back peddling will never change that fact.
you said I was wrong and I was not that is a lie....
No, just plug it into 220v. That should take care of it.![]()
Too many promises of His keeping power. All things of spiritual life is through faith in His Word.
It is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.
All your back peddling will never change that fact.
Amen sis, And I agree with him on that, (although I am sure he will say I do not)
But when your talking to a legalist who thinks they are
1. Worthy or deserving based on how good they are
2. Need to maintain their salvation by their works
3. Preaches a gospel of works.
You need to let them know. On your own (apart from Gods grace) every one of us are unworthy and would deserve hell.
in other words.
Context 1...By Gods love I am considered worthy because he loved me (not because I earned it or deserve it) I am forgiven, I am perfected, I am his righteousness..
Context 2...By Gods standard, I am a sinner who fall short of Gods glory, and apart from his grace would be condemned.
That's what I meant by context.
What is going on is a few people are speaking of context number 2. and people are trying to interpret it from the context of context number 1. Then it just goes downhill from there.
Sounds like something an adolescent would say...
You accuse me of back peddling!?!?, another outright lie......Since I joined this site I have consistently and constantly said that our righteousness is Christs and is a gift, obtained by faith and imputed by Christ...
New flash...its God always working in us...when I post, I take it for granted that mature saints know that we know this....it is a given for some of us...not something we have to remind ourselves and others about to sound spiritual and be petted as the smartest woman in the room....
This is not your board, not your thread and not your little kingdom....here is a piece of advice that might really help you...
Go to Home Depot......buy a ladder....set it up.....and get over it....
Or he is letting his good be known. Two ways of seeing everything. Pick the nicest that leads to peace.![]()
I chose the truth that leads to perhaps owning it and growing up.![]()
