Then tell me where in the bible does it say that a believer who has abundant or excess possessions should not sell them to be given to the poor or where does it say that the passage in mat 19:16-30 should be ignored or disobeyed

Why is it that these slippery grace pundits undermine everything Jesus said to do? (this is legalism by the way), in that they frame the law of the Spirit in mischief.. They say you cant do anything and it is to him that worketh not. However, Jesus said count the cost, make sure you build your house on the solid Rock of truth ..Its a laborious project without any coffee breaks, because Satan is a roaring lion seeking whom he might devour. Even before considering becoming a Christian we were told by Jesus to evaluate the heavy cost of doing so, because the gate is narrow and FEW be that find it.. Being separate from the world. Not in the likeness of the world ,somehow perceiving that godliness and worldliness is great gain while expanding upon the already broad road and making it even wider for Satan to count his goats as they are gathered in filling up the tare barns.

Its like the apostle Peter said, they are willfully ignorant (stupid on purpose) thus suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. The only way this can happen is by open rebellion against the word. I knew some people who believed that having worldly possessions was idolatry, so they burned their excess possessions in their backyard.
Funny thing is .......NOW ....they think they are doing so much better than everyone else and are filled with condemnation towards those who have not done the same.
Funny how believing one can do good works to save oneself, seems to puff one up with pride?

yes, by the influencing power of the Spirit (grace), working within one unto deeds of righteousness, producing the fruit of the Spirit, and not by physical force but rather by the works of llove..............be blessed and dig deep
