What is wrong with trying to please God?
God can be displeased with us....doesn't it make sense that He can be pleased with us too when We show His love to the world?
Yes without faith, you can't please God but still I believe when we do good works because we have faith in God and His love for us and the world....then God is pleased.

Well, I certainly DO love God.
I do works to keep Him happy.
Jesus said I was to do certain things.
Like Love my neighbor.

If that's the case then I need to rethink about the relationship I have with God and the one he has with me.
God says "Work to make me happy"
I say "What will keep you happy"
He says "Work hard, be sinless, let your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds and maybe on judgement day I will let you in"
Sounds like another religion to me.
Crap, If I have to work to keep a god happy then I have no chance.

God is not a pendulum of emotion between unhappy with us and then happy with us.

i missed that, I just read the passage,
i do think God is pleased when we grow, and pleased when we trust him and he is able to prove his trustworthyness to us,
do not think hues off the deep end when we make a mistake and sin, I thought no h is saddened when we fail to trust him.

I like the name Ralph.
It's solid and very old school but for some reason, I keep seeing this big ole hairy hound type dog going 'ehhh?' when someone says Ralph
I kinda think He would rather have our companionship than doing things to please Him.

Saw Ralph the other day at Walmart, he looked disheveled, keep muttering something about finding Jesus.
So beautiful...The word wretch reminded me of who i once was, but not no more, i am the daughter of God, i wear diadems around my neck representing my children that God has restored back in to my life, a great grand daughter He blessed me with 2 weeks ago, i am now standing in the righteousness of God , washed clean by the blood of my Lord Jesus Christ my Savior, i am saved...Sorry Ariel but this is what the song has brought out in me
