Absolutely, I like the first scripture as well ... in the might of His Power. These scriptures show us how God wants us to follow him:) The battle is not with flesh and blood even though sometimes it may seem that way. Things are not always as they seem.

beware of other places,in the bible like act 15, and acts 10, that project blindness to a law, your repent from.

And the double emphasis upon the completeness of the armor just to be able to stand your ground......another interesting concept....Paul uses the analogy of Roman armor of the time....nothing on the BACK because we are to hold our ground and not cut and run....if a Roman soldier broke rank to flee his own men were to cut him down.........
 
Interesting, I also think Paul wasn't necessarily only talking singularly either, but to the group as a whole. So it's kinda like, everyone stand together, in faith together, in truth together, praying in the spirit together... remember what Christ did and does for you together.

Phalanx | Define Phalanx at Dictionary.com

(in ancient Greece) a group of heavily armed infantry formed in ranks and files close and deep, with shields joined and long spears overlapping.

And interesting fact is that the Phalanx was one of the strongest Roman military formation where shield overlaps to form a protective wall.

What I found fascinating is your shield didn't protect you but the person next to you and you had to trust your comrades to do what they are suppose to. Just as they trust you to stand and protect them.

The air itself no, but if the air is scented with something such as a cedar tree, you could make the case you can smell the air. I will not have money in my pocket, like hardly ever so the overall answer to your question is "No" as far as it relates to me personally. Good talk.

Greetings Jim....the book of Enoch is fables bringing about spiritual trauma to the unlearned....it was written by several authors beginning about 700 years ago, and contradicts the bible severely....stay with scripture and depart from the books of men..........be blessed
