In Christ we have overcome our sins.
Is this a parable???The law is not an iceberg.,,it's a pick ax that can be used to climb a mountain or kill a sheep.
In Christ we have overcome our sins.
"WE" did?
I thought Christ did everything for us?
Some folks don't even know their own doctrine.![]()
see, here is the big disconnect. when I speak of sin, I am talking about what the Bible describes as sin, the standards set fourth in God's word. if one does not perfectly keep them 24/ then, by Biblical definition, one is a sinner, as they missed the mark, fell short of a standard set forth by a perfect and holy God.
you seem to be talking about feelings, as if feeling really strongly from the heart that you do not sin translates into a reality where you do not. this is beyond dangerous self-deception. 100% not true.
feelings have NOTHING to do with if one keeps Biblical standards or not. feelings should not create reality, they should reflect it.
Is this a parable???
??????????????????????????
AMEN....sin is no longer an issue in the believer....the old man is considered DEAD in SIN and BURIED with Christ....ALL of the sins I would EVER commit were nailed to the cross in CHRIST the day I believed (as far as the condemnation of the law is concerned) after SALVATION (BIBLICALLY by FAITH and GRACE void of HUMAN EFFORT OR WORKS of righteousness) We are dealt with as SONS and Daughters instead of as a lost man or woman......GOD then CHASTENS US as dear children instead of CASTING US AWAY with the LOST....plain as day......just like the opening salvo on this thread....PLAIN AS DAY!
The law is not an iceberg.,,it's a pick ax that can be used to climb a mountain or kill a sheep.
Well, dear, it makes one wonder when they say "grace does everything" & "Jesus takes care of everything", & "no work by us" now, doesn't it?Some folks don't lump others into a box and blurr their doctrines with others. They actually get to know individuals and are not paranoid enough to think they that anyone who disagrees with them is a sock puppet.
Yeah "we" God's holy spirit empowered children.
Bolded and underline, yet folks will still ignore you said that.
I think the message is "don't worry about your past sins for I have forgiven you. Focus on following me fully and you will be kept safe from comitting future sins. Even if you look away and become distracted and fall into a pit, I can pick you up and wash you clean again. Just keep your eyes fixed on me and I will lead you to still waters and green pastures that you might find rest."
At least that is the message God gives me.
From the love, joy and peace God gives us are we empowered to help and heal others with our words and actions for the glory of God.

Yeah it does. The circle talking and redefining words gets confusing.
.reason why I don't engage everyone all the time.
Don't know if I just don't get what some are saying or they arent saying what I hope they will say.
They ought to, because they say outta one side of their mouths "Jesus took care of everything, so I'm not bothered with sin anymore, then outta the other side of their mouth, tell us God chastens His children for their sins!
Do the math..... you can't have both.....
