We should talk about the old testament prophets..

I read where God told one to cook his food over human feces....but he convinced God to change the order to animal dung instead.

God definitely knows how to make a statement with His messengers.he uses all different types of people that is why we are all different parts of the Body.

I like the one (Hosea) where God told him to marry a whore and have kids by her to show Israel's relationship toward God......he had to go buy her back from the men she was sleeping with....Gomer's name is passive and she was 100% a prostitute...or maybe the one (Isaiah) who was told to strip NAKED and walk around for three years to
as a sign and a portent against Egypt and Cush, so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptian captives and the Cushite exiles, both the young and the old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks uncovered, or the one (Ezekiel) who was told to build a mock up of Jerusalem and lay siege to it to portray what was coming......love the prophets....especially the woes and burdens (Isaiah and Jeremiah) which accurately predict what is coming in the future to the kingdoms referenced in the woes and burdens....(pictured in type and shadow) by the kingdoms during the time frame I.E. B.C.

That's what happens when you think you're superior.

It's all psychological..... not spiritual at all.

This is also what happens when a educated Theologian only has received passed on knowledge from other educated theologians.

We also see this in many self professing Christians and especially educated Theologians who do not understand their position, identity, authority and purpose in Jesus Christ. They are stranded at the cross and cannot

The enemy loves Seminary Educated superior minded theologians. They are trapped by only mans understanding of the word without any Holy Spirit revealing of the word.

This makes it easy for them to confuse things and not understand the difference between the false doctrine of sinless perfection Vs. a saint who has power of sin for today, the false doctrine of election and predestination and OSAS, over free choice, which re-enforces covenant relationship and the fact you never lose your salvation ever, but you can fall away from a God that will never leave you nor forsake you, if oyu are not rooted and grounded in love. The false doctrine that not every one has faith, so to obtain salvation God has to give you a gift of faith of his only son, instead of the knowledge of God found in every man as Romans 1 shows us clearly. The false doctrine that the Holy Spirit is only the Holy Caulk that seals you forever and that is it, instead of the Holy Spirit is one that comes along side to help, teach, comfort, reprove, convict, share, use and grow us.


They scream against any form of works and call it conditional/works based salvation, yet they have never been crucified with Christ or raised into newness of life, because they are still a woe and poe ole sinner saved by grace and GEEEEEE-ZUS does it all until I die and then I overcome. Their deep seated jealousy and envying of Holy Spirit empowered filled Sons and Daughters of , who understand their identity, authority and purpose in Jesus Christ and walk it out, makes their heads explode and want to gnash their teeth on people, because they don't get it at all.

Since they are woe and poe sinners saved by grace and have no Spirit led empowerment over the works of the flesh, SIN and the wiles of the devil, it is easy for them to call others sinless perfectionists.

The epitomize the following truth:

Religion is when you keep Jesus on the Cross and you sit on the throne, because you were chosen, elected, predestined and had no say/choice over the sovereignty of God and have not been crucified with Christ and raised into newness of life with him. You are stranded and clinging to a counterfeit cross.

Relationship is when you put yourself on the Cross and let Jesus sit on the throne....they wont get this one at all and I will be told I am sinless perfectionist and promoting works based salvation

He had a challenge and asked us "what if we lived in the Nineveh of today? Would we repent in sackclothes and ashes?"

What if we were Jonah and told to travel somewhere and preach God's wrath and their need for repentance, would we go or would we run away?

Are we like Jonah, mad when God shows mercy to repentant sinners?

I don't think that would apply to us because of the reason why Jonah was actually mad....He knew the prophesies concerning the predicted destruction of the northern kingdom of Israel by the Assyrians....Nineveh was the capitol of Assyria and he knew that if God spared it that ultimately it would be used to destroy Israel.......I thank God for every person that repents and trusts into Jesus biblically

I just recognize it's a lie and they are just staring either in a mirror at their own logs or at a strawman,Satan has convinced them is the truth.

No reason to get mad.just more reason to pray.


I know the Holy Spirit has taught me and what wisdom I have is from years of reading the Bible and praying and listening to God.

I listen to sermons and read books but at the end the Bible is the final authority.
.I don't think either of us have attended seminary, but attacking education just shows that he has bought into a lie.

Jesus came to take away our sins, not our minds.

It is true Without the holy spirit it's all just fluff balls as you say, but I am not worried about that arrow because I know God speaks to us.

So why let them make you mad?

Personally it saddens me and reminds me we need to pray for folks even more.

Something to pray about. I think God speaks to us through scripture what we need to hear at different points in our lives, God might have used that story to get the Jewish believer to accept Gentiles into the family of God. Like Peter with the eating of unclean animals.

I have a feeling there is a battle going on in another thread that makes folks mad and it comes over to this one.

I don't understand who would actually teach works salvation. Which is what this thread stands against.
