these are religious types of today same principle though...just as the Pharisees perceived themselves to be righteous by doing religious ceremonies but still living in the bondage of iniquity, ..you seem to have a habit of resisting the truth in scripture at every point possible.....oh, and one enters into the sabbath rest of Christ by obedience from the heart through sincerity of faith..its not by magical covers...

Not quite...I embrace the truth on every turn...however, what I resist is your twisted, skewed, false view of scripture.....big difference!

faith, trust, obey, believe, concerning the Christian walk are all synonyms in the text..They mean a steadfast faithfulness to God and His commands from a heart of sincerity to please the Lord..no obedience from the heart means not trust, no faith, and unbelief...

Do you 100% of the time, 24/7/365 days of the year obey every command without sinning once.....yes or no.....?

This implies yes we will sin, but we also need prayer and intercession about this.
Sanctification is a process of transformation and changing ones heart. It is obvious this
is not an overnight thing, but very much a journey, that is embedded and complex in our lives.

But if we cannot agree the goals and the biblical method of getting there, how can we agree
we know the King equally.

Now if in reality some feel they break fellowship with other believers on secondary issues, it is
their loss, and we are able to keep an open door for our weaker brethren. If it becomes abusive
though, such sinful behaviour has to be rebuked and if not repented of, expelled from the fellowship.
But I am at present just appealing for the expression of love that should be present.

agree, the forgone conclusion of the text is righteousness, or as Solomon said our whole purpose in life is to fear God and keep his commandments, of which the apostle Paul said was our reasonable service...Some perceive that obeying God is grievous and unreasonable, but Jesus said that His commandments were not grievous..go figure:confused:

Nice twist of Romans 12:1 to fit your working for law abiding dogma.......funny thing with you workers for...no honesty whatsoever at all with the truth...nothing but embellished, twisted scripture out of context to push something the word does not say!

I should have trusted Jesus' blood and acknowledged him in prayer

The bible is clear faith saves eternally....to infuse works makes void the gospel of salvation and equates to a false, double cursed gospel with no power to save

Without that relationship we get in to all sorts of crazy messes. Sometimes with the relationship too, but not so much and once received that relationship is eternal, so I don't worry so much anymore.

God hates sin, and everything about it, and as a believer I hate sin too, but where we split is your belief that the sin fight is yours to handle, my belief is that it has already been handled, and now I can walk with Him and learn from Him, and grow with Him, outside of that battle, free from that battle.

Because after all, He died for that. My undeserved inheritance is Him, through Christ Jesus. That IS enough!!

My focus is truly on Him, not trying to duck punishment, or fearful of missing the mark. He is pleased with me because I decided to choose Him, and for that peace and rest I am eternally grateful.

I am righteousness, through Him. I am now a child of God, the one true King, and I can rest in that for real.

Not to pontificate, or boast about how much I am accomplishing, but pleased to tell whomever how much He has accomplished in me.

Peter, I AM a changed man, make no mistake of that, you knew me not before, and you know little of me now. The depths of that change are remarkable, and could NEVER have been accomplished before the King took me in His arms.

Who I was, and who I am now are two diametrically opposed human beings. But all I did was focus on my God, look to Him, embrace His love for me, and He changed me, piece by piece, bit by bit and now I can reflect Him more adequately into the world that desperately needs Him. Not outwardly but a true change of the heart of men.

There is no religious methodology or biblical application, or spiritual formula to that, only the true love of a good good Father that accepts me and fills a place in my heart that only He can.

You assume I am different from you. It is always God who deals with sin and it's effects in our lives.
You are a changed man, Amen, but do not assume anyone else is not like you.

Too many are assuming works salvation, when most are expressing the very faith you claim.
The best approach is to believe people are in the family before you disown them.

Our calling is always about being light to the Lord and the rest will take care of itself.

You appear to be saying you walk in love, so amen.
 
or possibly a person is growing into those things yet, and need the word in order to be watered and flourish. I know that 15 years ago, i wasnt very obedient, quite the opposite, but the seedlings of faith were there in my heart, and somehow the good Lord forgave all my sinful indulgence which was quite enormous and greivous. until the freedom began coming into view. I believe now days that i was Just an infant or toddler, and had alot of ignorance at that time, but i sure did feel Like i was gonna hear "welcome Home Son" even when my works hadnt been produced just a thought wb, always appreciate your posts just thought that idea was relevant. sorry to jump on your discussion with peter, God bless you

Amen.....growth and maturity......and the fruit/works come from the faith and salvation one already possesses in Christ....the results of that is.....

This question is the legalistic question, which they feel frees them from sin.
John says we sin because we are sinners, but if we abide in Him we will walk in love.

There is no fear in this walk because we abide in God, so why is there this strange new
theology about not being aware of sin, as if this is anything other than hypocracy.

What sin are these sinners bound by that guilt drives them to denial of victory?

And if they have victory why are they condemning so much believers to hell.
Maybe they never met the Lord before and truly were just religious.

All I ask is if the fruit of their new faith is to war with believers, what kind of faith
are they part of? The righteous walk righteously, yet this very idea gets a bad response.
So in truth they condemn scripture in their enthusiasm, which is not a good thing.
 
If we walk in the Spirit abiding in Christ we are not aware of sin, because it is not there.
The problem has always been people not seeing the cross and Jesus's love, being safe in
Him because the words were there in people born into the church but not in their hearts.

This is true in all fellowships, but it does not mean the teaching is wrong or some new
revelation has come, it is the difference of conversion, though for some apostacy.

The elect will always find a way through, so I just praise the Lord. It hurts some deeply
when friends die because of false hope that rejects medical support as unbelief, or
makes enemies of people one should encourage and love
