Those who think you can leave Christ are ignorant of the fact that he will leave the 99 and come find the one....he cannot deny his faith applied eternally to one who believes....one who has been saved is SEALED FOR ETERNITY IN CHRIST.....I seriously question the validity of those who believe it can be lost!
You got that right.....the workers for, cake takers and all who think it can be lost contradict themselves and the scriptures more than buttermilk pancakes topped with steak sauce......
i can't recall any bible verses where Jesus said "you can lose you salvation, or say fear you can" Jesus rules with love and gives security to those who genuinely believe in him and want to follow him. He doesn't rule with fear or say 3 strikes and your out.
there are none...to believe and teach you can lose it is false...one must deny...
a. verb tense
b. context
c. biblical truths
d. the promises of Jesus
e. the sealing of the Holy Spirit
f. the words eternal, everlasting and forever
and in doing so...one calls God a liar......To say one can lose salvation is a slap in the face to Jesus and as false as can be to deny the power of God and the finished work of Christ
Try again cake taker....verse one does not contain the last clause....and John states clearly that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ.....good luck with your works....Jesus talks about you and groups you in the "plenteous in number" that will not make the cut because you never really trusted him to begin with....works for salvation leads to hell!

peter, you are not my enemy. I have told you in the past that you have a zeal for God and holiness and righteousness that is to be admired. the problem is, some of that desire does not do or say things that are Biblically correct. and you, me and no one else can " know " what others feel and think, in this type of forum. saying " it seems you believe" or you seem to think" is fine, but just declaring " you think " or " you believe " comes across as rude.
but, nevertheless, I do not count you as an emeny.
Let me answer.....
a. There is no price to pay for standing for the truth, but for rejecting the truth as one such as yourself ...we all know the price...very very hot and liquid deprived
b. Killing a few hours while waiting to leave for a three hour south trip to fish for two days
c. Could care less and not worried about my absence...and could say the same thing about u....cake taker
d. there is but one way into the kingdom and what you, chris, jimmypoo and others push does not equate to the one way
e. I oppose all false ways and lies that lead to hell
f. I am not here to make friends, help my cause and or earn anything.

Maybe if you did not attack, embellish, assume and twist so much maybe it might help your cause.....well....on second thought...probably not

The finished work of Christ does not recreate the world and the way it operates. Christ told us He finished, He did not change. Innocent blood was always required for atonement. God never gave any man the power to do this on his own, it has always been by the mercy of God. God has always been against evil and God protectsn His own from ones who do evil to them. If you are under the blood of Christ for salvation you go to Christ with repentance for your sin and it is wiped out, but if you go to Christ in rebellion claiming sin and the right to harm God's people with lies, theft, or gossip then God will protect His own from you.
It doesn't depend on what you did yesterday, it depends on what you do today.

gd9 - I am grateful to you for your kind comments. I do have a problem though.
The way we all know the world around us is by assumption. If you are happy and show it
others understand you are happy, and often they will empathetically be happy too.
Equally to talk theology, we give each other a model of our views to help persuade the
other. There has to be a mutual trust in this exchange.
So this is my approach. It is the approach of all debates and open discussions.
Now there are in the nature of such discussions things that might upset one another,
or equally encourage. I go forward in faith trusting that the Lord will illuminate our
hearts, Amen
I take it all this feeling you have is because you oppose something.
I wonder what that might be? I am sure everyone is guilty of embellishments, looking at things
with a bias, even personalizing positions to people. But this says nothing about content.
And there is nothing wrong with this, even Paul praised some things and ran others down.
Maybe you need a chill pill, called the peace that passes understanding.

It is just emotional suppression. It is how people talk when they are such. Statements become somewhat logically based, absolute truth oriented, however, it is as if that becomes more important than saying things with love.
I mean if it is not the case, all they have to do is speak with love. You speak with love in what you say, and when people speak with love, what type of people are likely to attack them?
It is speaking with love that makes us human.
It is speaking with only logic which makes us somewhat robotic, and often appear cold which can be misconstrued as aggressive, when maybe the spirit was not aggressive. I think that is the point of reaction. But how people come across is also their responsibility. They oppose you for apparently thinking you know their hearts, by thinking they know your heart!
I admire your tenacity, spirit, and patience in responding to it.
