I am but a wretched man, but by the grace of God, He loves me so, that He has made me innocent by paying the price of my sins, and now He carries me to His Best, which is the freedom from sin and its particulars viz., sins. And freedom from the world's system. Why must I be sinless to be heading toward no sins? I too have had the experience of over-coming sinful strongholds satan had me in, but as I move on in His light and purposes, I know and have faith that I am capable of sinning no more, so my strongholds have been broken, and I fight the good fight putting on the full Armor of God, and I remain in an attitude of repentance, as He finishes His work in me. You do need to be concerned with God's perspectives on your life; He after all He is your judge, you are not His. We never lose our chain of command for all of eternity, He will never be our son, He will always be your Father. But in that chain of command I have all the hope a man could ask for. To be free from sin by Christ on a Cross, and to please God in so living the life of Christ and serving His intentions and purposes. Your lack of faith, grieves His Spirit.
Only after the cross has accomplished a thorough work in enabling the believer to clearly know the unreliability of his ideas, feelings, and desires does he dare not become presumptuous. He becomes extremely cautious in all things, knowing that they will doubtlessly fail without the intervening and keeping power of God. We must not become independent of God. Whenever our spirit ceases to tremble, it will have an independent (presumptuous) intent. We rely on God only when we realize that we are in a completely helpless situation. A trembling spirit keeps us from failing and causes us to really know God.
Ladybugs are perfect. They never sin. Never ever.![]()
Lying is a sin sis!!![]()
Oh, was Blue speaking about herself?Lying is a sin sis!!![]()
Read my signature and weep. All people who love orange tabbies are innocent.
That's my defense and I'm stickin' to it..![]()
lol..
Are you perfect? God required perfection..
Why do people want to water Down Gods law. then sound all holy like they hold God as lord or something??
If you want to get to heaven by obedience, you better be perfect. Or you failed.
Your right, God does require obedience, However, YOU can not live up to Gods standard, I can not, Fran can not, Ariel can not, Grace777 can not.
We are all in the same boat.
Who are you going to trust in? Gods saving grace based on the lamb of God being slain.
or how good you are and how well you obey Gods commands.
Ladybugs are perfect. They never sin. Never ever.![]()
Such a lovely post. Do you never sin, then? I think that is what people are constantly trying to get at. Yes, through Jesus Christ we have overcome the world, but we have yet to put on incorruptibility. Acknowledging that we are still in the flesh, and sometimes fail to live up to His perfect standard, is not something that grieves the Lord but rather something that is required of us.
You know Oswald Chambers???? LOL
I agree with all of the above except that if someone were reading long, they'd be confused as to sanctification.
First you said that it's an ONGOING process and this is 100% correct.
But then you said that we ARE sanctified by Jesus.
So this could be a little confusing.
Sanctification is an ongoing process that requires the cooperation of man.
Some will call this works. It doesn't matter what you call it, it is what it is.
It requires the help of the Holy Spirit, our new nature, and our willingness to say yes when God tells us something, or steers us a certain way.
I love you too, Dan! I think you are such an amazing asset to this site, and have many fine qualitiesChrist has overcome the World, but He asks that we put to death the things of the flesh, have you overcome the world? Life is a process, the question of whether we sin in a particular moment of maturity is not the focus of His Spirit, it is the focus of satan's antagonism of the fact that Christ has conquered Sin and is about the business of having us conquer sins as well. Is my flesh evil, yes! Am I learning to accept its disposition? NEVER! I am out to please my God by way of His grace, and I am being completed by Jesus' handi-work and workmanship. So, then I would ask, are you expecting His workmanship to have you sin no more? Ask yourself, why you felt my post was lovely? I would venture a guess God has you crave what it is He offers over what satan wants you to accept. .....and the truth will indeed set you free! I love you Magenta; God loves you immeasurably so.

Psalm 119:166New King James Version (NKJV)
[SUP]166 [/SUP]Lord, I hope for Your salvation,
And I do Your commandments.
1 Peter 1
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [SUP]4 [/SUP]to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, [SUP]5 [/SUP]who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, [SUP]7 [/SUP]that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, [SUP]8 [/SUP]whom having not seen[SUP][a][/SUP] you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, [SUP]9 [/SUP]receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
So you see - faith is a walk with Christ. Continually. A living hope.
And holding our faith TO THE END results in the salvation of our souls.
If you want to have the "world" come along for the ride, it will certainly be a rollercoaster. Make sure the gears are oiled and the maintenance is done. For faith, if not nurtured, can be derailed.
