What makes you think I am not concerned?
I am glad you think you are a wretched man, I do to. And I strive to walk in Gods way, not hinder Gods way,, But I will never claim to be perfect..
It is obvious you do not know me at all..
People we are not talking about sanctification here, Why do people INSIST I am saying it is ok to live in sin? or we do not have to walk in obedience?
This strawman has got to stop..
That is why things get so heated. It is like no one ever listens, They assume they know.. Well many here do not know..
Amen. God is a being we should be careful of. He does not compromise.
He tests, makes things obvious and sends warnings. When He decides there
is no going back. I fear for those who claim so much and deliver so little.
Are we dressed for the wedding banquet or just go casual because it does
not really matter?

If you want to have the "world" come along for the ride, it will certainly be a rollercoaster. Make sure the gears are oiled and the maintenance is done. For faith, if not nurtured, can be derailed.

Christ has overcome the World, but He asks that we put to death the things of the flesh, have you overcome the world? Life is a process, the question of whether we sin in a particular moment of maturity is not the focus of His Spirit, it is the focus of satan's antagonism of the fact that Christ has conquered Sin and is about the business of having us conquer sins as well. Is my flesh evil, yes! Am I learning to accept its disposition? NEVER! I am out to please my God by way of His grace, and I am being completed by Jesus' handi-work and workmanship. So, then I would ask, are you expecting His workmanship to have you sin no more? Ask yourself, why you felt my post was lovely? I would venture a guess God has you crave what it is He offers over what satan wants you to accept. .....and the truth will indeed set you free! I love you Magenta; God loves you immeasurably so.

Notice that it is "He who began a good work - will be the very same one to perfect that work until the day of Christ Jesus."
We don't save ourselves nor is death our savior as if we hold out until we die. Christ alone is our Savior.
A drowning man does not need 5 lessons on how to swim and if he holds out until he reaches the shore - then we will be saved.
No, a thousand times NO - He needs a Savior.
Why do we have so many "unbelieving Christians"?

Sorry, my definition of perfect used here is in the first sentence.
Personal judgments in this environment are not easy, because we are just
saying a few sentences. And knowing each other again is limited, to quips and
snippets. It sometimes takes a few reads to see what another means.
And some are just very good at put downs, deflection, and not taking a point,
and appreciating the good intention behind it. Most do have a good sincere
intention, no matter how it comes across. Occasionally anger gets the better
of them.
Others for some reason read in terrible ideas or spiritual anger or vengance or
distortion, where there is none and refuse to just accept someones view as actually
their view.
I often find most views are right within their context, and have real foundations that
maybe with a few adjustments I could agree with. But it takes time to find this place,
but then we are gifted with the Holy Spirit, patience, love, faithfulness, self control.
So let us grow in these things, because we have all eternity to learn about each other.

Sanctified is how God sees us, just as we are justified by him and through him only.
So to me sanctification is the outworking of being sanctified.
We are set apart and declared Holy (sanctified) to do good works. That's the ongoing process. We are Holy just as we are not sinless (by which I mean we will still sin).
However as we walk with Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit room in our lives the negatives should decrease and the positives increase.
Are people saying they have not reached close to being pure, spotless, blameless,
so rather than admit this is the goal, they want to know the person is sharing the
word of the Lord, have they achieved it, and if not, how dare they bring this verse?
Emotionally I struggle with certain feelings or approaches. Is my struggle while I feel
this way, or is it gone when that feeling passes and I am praising the Lord?
If you have been tempted and given in to sin, how do you feel? It maybe a one off
act, with little outside effect, but when are you cleansed of it, repented, confessed
and forgiven, to be restored to peace and wholeness. I suspect some never feel
this place of peace, that they have never reached the bottom of the barrel, it still
is there throwing stuff up. I would ask, is this right or is this just self loathing and
self condemnation? One cannot do sin to the degree it cannot be confessed and dealt
with. Jesus saw people confessing sin, repenting and walking in righteousness at the
preaching of John the baptist, so it is not difficult. Paul equally had a clear conscience.
I suspect people condemned themselves for so long they do not even know what it means
to just be loved and at peace. Jesus has done enough, we do not have to continually go
over the same issues because we cannot forgive ourselves when God has forgiven us already.

Your love of God is evident and an inspiration to others... that I would sin no more is a promise that I look forward to, yes, Lord, please let it be today, will You return today to bring an end to this fallen world? Scripture says in 1 John 5:4, everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we overcome the world, for it is He Who overcame sin and death, which we have not yet conquered, for we are still to die, and then be raised to new life through our faith in His finished work on the cross, where He poured out His righteous blood that we may become the righteousness of God and attain to life ever after, in a world where there will be no more sin nor sorrow nor suffering nor pain nor death. But that day has yet to come. If I were sinless, I think I would know it. I am not, and yet He lives in me, and hope for the world to come lives in me also. When I stand before Him on judgement day, there will be no condemnation for my sins, for I will be clothed in His righteousness. The sins that I have committed have been forgiven, and continue to be burned away, and having had an experience of receiving that knowledge, imparted to me through the love of God afforded by His Son, what an amazing experience! Would that I could live in that love at all times, and never fail to deal with others in just such a manner. But I falter, and fall, and I turn to Him when I fail, learning over time that the more I rely on Him, the less I fall into the temptations of the flesh, so many of which I have been delivered of through faith in Him Who loves us so much, He gave His life in love.

I've never said that I don't sin. Many times on here, I have freely admitted that I sin. In fact, I sinned earlier today when I got frustrated with my stupid computer and swore..

My faiht is a living hope. As John said, I tell you these things so YOU KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, and BY THIS FACT, CONTINUE TO BELIEVE IN HIM
It means we have a hope that never fades, because no matter what God loves us.
I so wish you would see this..
