Works are not something that you allready possess works are an ongoing process....

Works are being prepared for you to do newly and daily.

Faith is also an ongoing process... Where by your measure of faith may increase...

You are recieving the salvation of your soul... and not recieved..... (this is in the book of peter somewhere dont worry as if something strange is happening to you.................... for you are recieving the salvation of your soul..

Mate please accept this truth and dont worry its happenning to people all over the world...

SAVED is spoken of in all three tenses.....

saved when I believed
being saved now
continuing to be saved into the future

A present continuing process from a past completed action....eternal life....based upon faith......

Accept this truth mate!

You know the bible is clear.....

IF salvation is of works then it is no longer grace
......<---how hard is that to understand....this simple truth states clearly that is salvation is tied to works in any way, shape, form or fashion it is NO LONGER GRACE

The bible states that it is NOT by WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, but according to mercy has he saved us.<-----NOT BY WORKS, but according to a MERCIFUL ACT (MERCY) REFERENCE BOLDED ABOVE

In the grace you are, having been saved out of faith, it is the gift of GOD not of works lest any man should boast<---NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHIC WE HAVE DONE, but RATHER based upon GRACE and FAITH<---NO RIGHT TO BOAST and REFERENCE BOLDED ABOVE

PAUL was clear....ALL who mix FAITH and WORKS to gain, maintain, keep, facilitate salvation are considered foolish and deceived.....REFERENCE all the ABOVE

Jesus said the number before him that gets cast from his presence came BOASTING OF WONDERFUL WORKS in HIS NAME....
the same PEOPLE who reject the above verses while placing emphasis upon WORKS.....the number is PLENTEOUS

IF IT IS OF WORKS..IT IS NO LONGER GRACE.........

Amen!! You CANNOT balance the two, same as Law and Grace, Old Covenant and New Covenant. Faith and Works, you cannot successfully live in both the Old and the New simultaneously.

Its not a scale, try some law, when I fail, slide over to Grace for a bit have some Grace to patch it up, do it again and again and again, fail over and over and over!!! (Which you will unless you are in super denial)

That is a rejection of both Law and Grace.

Can a person initially be saved without repentance? Strong's Greek: 3341. μετάνοια (metanoia) -- change of mind, repentance

Do you recall the following scriptures from John the Baptist and Jesus:
Matthew 3v3 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, [SUP]2 [/SUP]and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Is it that repentance that saves you? No
Is that repentance necessary for the reception of the gospel by faith? Yes
Are you saved by Grace through faith? Yes

Of course not, you have to first realize you are a sinner to be saved from sin, and then die to the world and become alive in Christ (Salvation). You have to repent to be able to surrender to Jesus.

I agree with this... Howeve you dont agree with the last part that you are continuing to be saved.... coz youve allready claimed your the done deal... and you dont need to be saved again..

Youve claimed this... and now your claiming the other have you had a change of heart or are you just messen

Now let's explore further. Since repentance was a necessity in terms of fertile field, what happens when you have a change of mind? You are no longer repentant? The sin and conviction therefrom which cut you to the heart before receiving Jesus.....now you consider this "no biggie" any longer. You then repent of your repentance.

You then begin to marginalise sin - the very thing that God has been dealing with man, from the Garden, to the Patriarchs, throughout the Law, to eventually coming Himself through Jesus Christ. The ultimate sacrifice.

You think God has changed? He changes not.

Now I like that you repent of repenting, lol, ironic.
Or you repent of faith. Now unbelief in their eyes is the unforgivable sin,
yet for a once or many times believer it is ok.

Farce is what I would call it, but then we are sooooooooo evil what do
we know. It is like saying free climbing is safe, except you do die after the first fall.

Someone confessed the first time they heard an apostate preacher they were shocked.
It soon wore off after they also apostated. Odd that.

My question is, do they have a way back? Well to date, no. I mean they cannot even admit
verses can be read two ways. If you can see both you know you have a choice, ironic
that only one side seem able to see this, lol

Repent of what?

Of your sin. Christ died for the forgiveness of sin. For God to be able to dwell in us, for us to be able to accept the free gift of the Holy Spirit, we have to accept that we are forgiven of our sin, that we are sinners. That agreement is repentance. Walking away from the old and into the new.

Now what if that repentant man changed his mind again?

If that repentant man realizes what has been done for him, then walks in the newness of life granted by his acceptance of the free gift of the Holy Spirit, what is he changing his mind too?

Ill tell you what mate go and do a study of the word grace.. and try to work out its many meanings and the put them in to one meaning..... coz being under grace and apart of Grace is something where you can go and do good works too...

Ok you repent of your repentance.

Not a word I know but what are you now unrepenting from?

Part of repentance is a commitment not to sin and not do evil.
Seems a lot have never made this commitment, dear Lord, please forgive us.

And repentance is granted from God. Acts 5:31 ; Acts 11:18 ; 2 Tim. 2:25

True repentance is changing the way we think concerning God's way of salvation and to not to trust in our own self-righteousness but in the message of Christ which is the gospel message that all sins are forgiven.

We are trusting in Christ alone for salvation and life and not in our own way. There are "fruits" of repentance but they come after we have already repented to trust in Christ's work alone.

Get this backwards and we create a D.I.Y self-righteousness/holiness religion which is a works-based religion.

Well then he remains in a state of repentance. And this is confirmed by his actions. For what a man believes so he does.

No, take the other side. He has a change of mind. What then?

Ok ok let's set aside a commitment not to sin.

What did Jesus say about having to go back to the Father so that the Holy Spirit must come to convict the world of its sin.

What was the sin Jesus was referring to.

Then what did Jesus say in the gospels about those who repent of the sin that the Holy Spirit will convict them off?

Ok you repent of your repentance.

In order to receive the word into your heart, your heart had to have been prepared for this. Conviction of Sin. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin (you would agree).

Now, you no longer have any conviction of sin, feel that its no longer a "biggie". And you are free to engage in sin. You have had a change of mind concerning this. What then?
