Amen....In the grace you are, having been saved out of faith, and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, It is the gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast.

THAT not of yourselves is directed at the FAITH that saves.....
You forgot that its the father that saves you
and you also forgot that faith is not salvation... salvation is being born into the new body..
John 6:44
,,,44“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him,

This is intresting to me show me where it says you must be elect befor salvation..

Why would I bother to offer you Scripture to wrest? All the saved are elect. If you can't see that then start praying. Maybe less typing, more study for you.

wow seariously... ?... so your saying the minute you recieve The spirit your elect ?..ok pal whatever..

You know...BY FAITH ABEL offered a better sacrifice than CAIN. Cain is identified with false teachers in JUDE.....notice the difference....

a. Abel's offering indicated FAITH and was an offering of BLOOD<----points to JESUS
b. Cain's offering was the tillage of the cursed ground and was his own works<---NO BLOOD, NO FAITH

CAIN was of that wicked one, he persecuted and killed his righteous brother ABEL

FAITH into the blood justifies before the Heavenly Father<---Romans and Galatians

I never thought about it like that.

Does rhat mean Abel had faith and Cain did not?

You have little to no reading comprehension and nothing in what I stated even implied the above. We are all elect prior to salvation.

With all due respect if you cannot grasp a simple one line sentence on here, how are you going to know biblical truth? Is this why you misunderstand so much Scripture? I say this not to demean, but out of concern because I'm seeing a pattern.

1 Corinthians 6:11) and a process (we are being sanctified Romans 12:2 Philippians 2-3 1 John 2:28). Spiritual formation is the lifelong process of becoming in our character and actions the new creations we already are in Christ

Jimbo what about the following

Ephesians 1:13-14

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

[h=1]Philippians 2:12New English Translation (NET Bible)[/h] [h=3]Lights in the World[/h][SUP]12 [/SUP]So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence,

Ther ya have it folks you must continue to work your salvation out and not assume you allready have it...

Cant see anything in the verses I quoted that talks about if you continue to walk in the spirit.
I think genuine believers can struggle big time to walk in the spirit but that is another issue.

i don't have a ginger wig nor ginger hair but if I grow a beard the bottom part goes ginger. My kilt is red.

As for morris shoes, that's definitely English

Um, no. You're adding into the text your erroneous theology.

You cannot work out something you don't already possess. In this case it is salvation, and believer's already possess salvation.

Then there is the next verse for the context: for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

That is evidence of conversion, or, what we call salvation. Stop reading things into the text that aren't there, you do this with what people say on this forum as well. Please get someone to help ground you in sound doctrine, you're on an erroneous path my friend.
