That he does. He does not take a belt to our backside, a smack around the head.
I lived like he did for a long long while. Waiting for the sky fall on my head.
What a twisted view of our Father.
I agree for sure.........very skewed....

What a twisted view of our Father.
He remembers I'm made from dust and doesn't deal with me according to my iniquity. In fact he has removed my sin as far as the East is from the West and is slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
Thats our Father, compassionate and kind to all those who come before him.
God is good and His mercy endures FOREVER......amen to that.....
I think works is showing to people we are Christian. We just do the works because we love God and want to obey Him. Thank you Jesus for saving me I want to love others because You loved me. So i will show love. You dont say i am going to love to gain my place in heaven thats not possible only JESUS CHRIST DID IT BECAUSE HES GOD AND SINNLESS. we cannot die for our selves only GOD JESUS CHRIST CAN DIE FOR US BECAUSE THEIR HOLY AND SINNLESS <333333333 I just get confused or worried i am doing works for salvation. If i am wrong please help me.

JESUS IS WORKING THROUGH US WE GOT TO REMEMEBER THAT. we are dead to sin and ALIVE IN CHRIST!!!!!!!! JESUS IS USING US AS A VESSEL SUBMIT EVERYTHING TO GOD THE FATHER <333333
what do you mean loves not a work? Jesus told us we have to do that.
He only chastens SONS...not LOST MEN.....and CHILDREN do not get whipped for doing right and or not sinning.....their logic misses the mark by about 5 light years.....!
Ahab was a lost King yet God still chastened him. Nineveh was threatened with judgement,
yet they repented and judgement did not come then.
God chastens everyone, for He is the Lord of all. His purposes are on a civilisation basis,
not just individuals or groups.
And God kills people, drop down dead type of rebukes.
And I do not know the level, but it is not to be thought of idly.
Yes sir, I am. Only because it is written that way. It also falls in line with verse 8, and in James who talks about faith without works being dead. Are you sure of this one to what colored it in blue.
Faith in Christ to be your personal savior is indeed enough to save us. However, faith without a corresponding action is simply believing, and we are not saved by believing that Jesus is our savior. It seems you are using the KJV as your base text and and I love it too. I beleive that faith in Christ is enough to save us. Good works are good and they are the fruit of salvation. I never equate with earning one's salvation. I have notice many things in this posts but it seems to me there must be refine ment of something.
No sir, it not just in Romans, but all through the bible. I can show you multiple places in both the old and new testament that talks about people of God confessing their faith.Been studying your confession and salvation as the bulk of the concept is found in the book of Romans as you cited. There is the kewyword in order to understand the passgae you gave, but I will do the typing first before i paste.
Thanks and God bless
Confessing is not a work for salvation, but an expression of faith. Works salvationists get confused here. Also, confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead are not two separate steps to salvation, but are chronologically together. Romans 10:8 - But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (together) that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, (notice the reverse order from verse 9 to verse 10) - that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Confess/believe; believe/confess.
1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except BY the Holy Spirit. There is divine influence or direct operation of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a person when confessing Jesus as Lord. This confession is not just a simple acknowledgment that Jesus is the Lord (even the demons believe that), but is a deep personal conviction, without reservation, that Jesus is that person's Lord and Savior. So simply believing in our head (and not in our heart) that God raised Him from the dead does not result in righteousness and simply reciting the words "Jesus is Lord" not by the Holy Spirit "as an attempted work for salvation" is not unto salvation. *Now what about someone who is moot (unable to speak?) How can they confess with their "mouth?" Such a person would remain lost according to the erroneous "works salvation" view of Romans 10:9,10.
Because it's a bad tree.Yes but there is a cut of point. If the tree does not bare Good fruit it is cut down..
If you are doing the work to GAIN salvation, You are doing something to EARN a reward. Gods gift is not a prize or a reward for good works. It is a gift. He said to recieve it. Thats it..
Those who call out on the name of the lord were saved the moment they trusted Christ, The calling out was proof of their faith.
If you want to try to earn a gift,. Feel free.. I will continue to trust Christ assured he will keep his promise.
That's not what I was implying. Living faith is living faith and dead faith is dead faith and good works are produced from a living faith and not a dead faith.Wait. Read back your own comment. You just said a "dead faith" is a "living faith". No, a dead faith is a dead faith.
