Everyone has a past.
Every Believer is instructed through the Lord's Prayer to seek forgiveness daily. But it doesn't mean you lost your Salvation.

No one said anything about telling a person whether they are saved or not. We're talking about what the Bible shows us that a true Believer should be doing.

so by what you just said. works are not required.. if they were required. then salvation would be lost (see how a word can change the meaning)
The Law is not about works but about living a lifestyle different from the rest of humanity.
And today, being a Christian is also about living a life that's different from the rest of humanity.
If you are deceived by Satan you probably are not as saved as you believe. Paul wrote that to people that haven't been saved as long as we are in this discussion.

No one said David did lose his Salvation but he did repent when he was reminded of them.
I said the Holy Spirit is telling a person with Discernment whether or not someone is being honest.
if he did not repent. would he still be saved.

It's a separation from everyone else. God separates His people from everyone else.
