Mental disorder huh?
a mental disorder is think your righteousness will save you, when Paul makes it clear no guts of righteousness we do will ever save us, we are saved by Gods mercy
you conditional salvationists are mocking God and his perfect righteous es and judgment and excusing your sin thinking it is not really all that sinful, like the pharisee, you think you are ok, when the law says your not only not ok, but in peril and Jesus came to save you and you say, that’s ok jesus, I got this.
as for your example here, yeah, he did not have faith in the master, if he did, he would shown the same mercy to this man that his master showed him.
what a joke!
Hi
Do you even understand how ridiculous that statement is? There IS NO spiritual Switzerland.
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven; whose sin is covered.” (Psalms 32:1 KJV) But, according to you, the servant didn’t have faith in his master, right?
This is why we Conditional Salvationists think you OSAS folks suffer from the mental disorder that is theological liberalism.
- He didn’t have faith in his master’s word but he walked out the door to freedom anyway, right?
- He didn’t have faith in his master’s word but instead of hiding from the cops, he goes out in public looking for a guy that would drop a dime on him in a heartbeat, right?
- He didn’t have faith in his master’s word but instead of threatening to break the guy’s legs unless he pays him, he actually calls the cops to come arrest the fellow servant - like a crackhead who tries filing a police report over a dope deal gone bad, right?
"‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14“I tell you, this man went to his house justified" - Luke 18:13-14
He certainly did attack me and OSAS believers in general and he did more than simply bawl us out. He basically had a meltdown and went on bitter, angry rant which involved statements of condemnation towards me and OSAS believers in general, yet we are the big babies? You in fact got very angry a while back and attacked @mailmandan and if memory serves me you infered he was not saved and a child of the devil.
You attacked him.
We receive a deposit, a down payment of the Spirit. A measure of the Spirit. A taste of what is to come, not the wholeness.
Just like when you buy a house and put a down payment on it, not the whole amount, guaranteeing payment in full at a later date.
"He anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." - 2 Corinthians 2:21
Jesus is the only one who had the fullness of the Holy Spirit:
34“For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure." - John 3:34
Thank God His grace is sufficient. I pray one day you will honor God by acknowledging that beautiful, glorious fact.I was talking about Romans 6:16, where he says "sin unto death". Have any idea what "sin" is? I let the New Testament tell you: "Sin is the transgression of the law." 1 John 3:4 KJV
“I” ~ your incorrect focus. What do you mean 'all up to me'?
I couldn't believe my way out of a wet paper sack except for God giving me the faith to believe.
Forgiven but not saved because he never had faith. More interesting. And yet they are forgiven.
Forgiven Pharisees.
Interesting.
The self righteous one speaks. When you say "works/salvationalists", are you referring to OSAS folks? Because the only people I see working up a sweat are those who are desperately trying to make the false idea OSAS true.
Yet other people canWhat do you mean 'all up to me'?

Let's see who's doctrine is illogical.
"Hi, Johnny. Here's a flashlight that will shine forever and never stop shining."
"Oh, thank you! I kept losing the last one I had. But since this one shines forever that means I can never lose it!"
Exactly. That has to be one of the worst analogies I've ever seen...In your analogy, Johnny is responsible for holding onto the flashlight and not losing it. It is given in his hands.
Salvation in Christ however is not like this.
Believers in Jesus do not hold onto their own salvation rather it is God who holds salvation and keeps the believer.
Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.In your analogy, Johnny is responsible for holding onto the flashlight and not losing it. It is given in his hands.

If I'm adding 'believing' to the gospel (that's funny), then so did Paul:By your own words, you add to the plan of salvation every day on this thread.
The irony is your "Perpetual Belief Salvation" which is my mental effort saves is really no Gospel at all.
My unsaved son, who doesn't want to be saved, and doesn't care at all about the gospel was approached by a drunk in a bar one time who explained to him 'your' gospel. Even my son could see what a joke it was. My son pointed out to him how he was as drunk as he was and the guy said it didn't matter because he could do whatever he wanted and still be saved.Thank you Jesus for bringing me someone on that fateful day in the university pub who knew the GOSPEL!!
The Spirit of God can leave a person, or a thing, just as easily as He came in, and anytime He wants.Tell me how does an eternal/always flashlight implanted in a person get lost?
I can't believe the day is here when this is now called a works gospel:You know why this weak analogy came to your mind, because you think you hold onto salvation...
