This is a works we must do and that is follow him daily.. not weekly or once in a blue moon but daily.

It has nothing to do with salvation of the soul...it speaks to our daily living for JESUS and the life that can be found in Christ NOW on this planet....it equates to putting the old man to death and walking in the newness of life....and if you want to gain a spiritual walk in Christ that results in blessing, honor and usefulness one must deny his flesh or die to flesh and take up Christ and walk in him.....

ZERO to do with salvation and points to a faithful walk before Christ and in Christ......

i like this but can you agree some fruits we must show our selves. like putting your abc missing words dictionary on befor posting..

Or a new breed of denomic influence a sect of my beloved church as broke of from us and are going to change the texts in the bible to allow gay marriage.

I mean as some vicar said i will change the texts and i will suffer the punishment ?

Im not saying that us showing our own work will save us but what iam saying is what will happen if we dont show them works ? maybe not lose your salvation but maybe imprisorment when you die..

i think works SHOW our fruit

the holy spirit is the fruit in itself

so without works

how can you say you have the holy spirit?

but with works...

that doesnt mean YOU did anything

thats Gods grace
which leads to faith
which brings gifts

showing Gods work

to make us an example


now

can a christian sin?

well we will always have temptations...

and we are not all knowing...

i think we do repent fully from many sins

i know i wont fall back into many of the things God delivered me from

and if i look at the path im on now

compared to the path i was on before i was given a new heart

that in itself shows fruit

but not of myself

for most parts i reconise that works do come from him and are a direct result of his work in us.

however some works do come natural like loving your own.. even wild animals do it.. do you get that some works must be a fruit that you bare by your self ?

the love i had in me before God wasnt the same...

it was love

but a worldly love...

i think the only good thing we can do

is say yes to him (which he makes easier through, signs, fear, love, knowledge)

and everything else falls into place...so long as we dont turn back to loving sin

we wont become reprobate

buuut

the path is narrow...
i dont think living in sin
gets you to heaven...

thats the same as denying the gift

thats stomping on the sacrifice of Jesus

so theres something to overcoming

and repenting


but thats not what KEEPS you saved

thats what shows Jesus DID save you

The word love is misused and abused.....the love of GOD in our lives is not the naturalistic love of man.........exactly why it speaks to the love of GOD being perfected in our lives........

It is not that WE LOVED him, but that HE LOVED US...........and according to 1st Corinthians 13 and other books...LOVE is a spiritual gift....godly agape love....

Think of it this way and believe it or not you and I have much in common...my dad was killed at age 3 and I grew up with abusive step dads that showed zero love for my brother and I.....having said that.......this is the biblical concept that we speak of....

A son is a son by birth and that can never change (saved by faith and faith alone)

The Father of the son by birth gives you a base inheritance and gives you the option to serve him faithfully and earn a greater inheritance (rewards and crowns)

The same Father also states that if you do not serve faithfully or as faithfully as you should have you will lose inheritance and or not gain as much as you could have.

The fact that you are his son though will never change and even the prodigal son at the end of his stint in the pig pen (world and worldly living) was still received as a son with a ring and a robe (authority and covering<---saved and a son)

regardless of who denies this....the bible lays this out and this bears out biblically!

You stay imprisoned by sin in this life and lose your spiritual testimony, many will wonder if you are saved at all but only God can answer that.

What the world judges as works is not what God counts...internal works is forgiving and loving other more...people might not see this but the person being saved knows the difference in the freedom and truth God reveals to them.

Ok so the last two responces are right there up there with the nbest of them... is it possible that spirits can stay imprisoned for all eternity away from there inheritance meaning they cant walk with us.... in spirit that is..

This only apllies to those not saved who have never been saved is what im getting from this... but the one who are saved will only lose browny points for the same sin that the unsaved dont get saved from...?

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world-- our faith
Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

These scriptures are clear and NOT ONE VERSE states that LOVE, KEEPING GOD'S commands save us, give us victory over the world and or lead to being born again....

FAITH, belief, believes.......<--equals born again, overcoming the world and giving us the victory....

LOVE is a sure sign of our birth...we LOVE GOD, have respect unto his commandments and prove our love for our brothers and sisters in Christ......

WITHOUT the initial faith, ensuing birth and victory NO ONE can do the rest listed......

ALL the law and prophets rest on LOVE GOD and EACH other.....one must be born of faith and saved already to complete such action...

It is not that we LOVED HIM, but that he LOVED us and gave himself for US.......

When a child of God sins, they feel godly sorrow unto repentance.asking God how they can stop and overcome.

When a child of the world sins...they ask if they can get away with doing it again.
 
But the Catholics also believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior,the Christ,the Son of the living God,and He is come in flesh,and they have faith to believe in the kingdom of God they cannot see,and a God they cannot see,as well as many people that do not believe God chooses who will be saved,and not saved,without their input,and nobody can say Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Ghost.

So if that is all it takes why do they say they are wrong.

Also if people believe in the prosperity Gospel,James said,faith without works is dead,Paul said,they have erred from the faith,and John said,the love of God does not dwell in them.

Also the Bible says if any person love the world,and the things in the world,they are not of the Father.

Also the Bible says those that name the name of Christ must depart from inquity.

Also Paul said,without love he is nothing,but love does not think an evil thought,and does not rejoice in iniquity,but rejoices in the truth.

But yet they can offend in these things and still be right with God.Strange.

We are born again once the father has handed us over to the son.. but what i dont get is does the father lose those under his wing befor he hands them over in some cases ?

No what is strange is you can say the above (1st line) while ignoring that the Catholics teach a sacramental (7) salvation, they blend works, false ideologies, idolatry and church salvation.....

DEFINED IN GALATIANS as a FALSE gospel with no power to save...........

JESUS plus ANYTHING = false gospel....end of story and you and I have had our rounds and you still approach it with the type of fallacy found in your post..............by your logic....

Jesus said he would LOSE nothing that has been given unto him by the FATHER but would raise it up at the last day (resurrection)

Jesus said he would finish what he started and bring it to fruition

Jesus said he will never leave us or forsake us

Jesus said by Paul's hand that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God

Jesus is the beginner and finisher of our faith

NOTICE...the gospel I lay bare is JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS....it is all JESUS
