A murderer who also destroys underwear...
if you deny the ability to overcome sin
you deny the power of the holyspirit
you tell me what sin is too great to stop doing
2 Timothy 3
3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts
You are right with your quote.
We do have the ability to overcome sin and no sin is great that we cannot overcome.
But to me we have to get a true grip/underesting of what sin is. The totality of sin
We know to sin is to miss mark.
We need to ask God to search our innermost being.
To me it's not just a case of what we do it's a case of what we do and don't do.
We tend to look at the external but neglect the internal.
Psalms 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
i agree completely
its not just what we DO in deed or thought or word
but what we dont do
id say the ladder is actually harder to notice in daily life
Some have misunderstood the Lord. Jesus is saying I walked your road without sin
so can you. We have to change, by faith, by walk, by heart.
The first step is to believe it is possible. The next step is to know you are cleansed.
The third is to walk in this.
Arriving is about the Lord and communion with Him, and like walking on water we will
but not know it. Because it is about being not arriving, flowing and giving not resting on
achievement. So I do not know how I walk, I just strive to walk in love.
And you respond like I am bringing a curse rather than saying this love is everything.
Maybe you write off the very thing God is proud of. Moses a humble man was so humble
he was denying Gods choice. You all have histories, I am just saying Jesus is saying see
where you are and what God has done and is doing and rejoice, this is the Kingdom, you
have nothing to prove just open the door and let the love out.
EG, What is a m'underwear?![]()
You tell me how murderer changes to that? It's nuts
452 pages to explain it's not of works![]()
I'm sorry Dcon.
You got it backwards.
God does not work through us as a living sacrifice.
WE are to present OURSELVES a living sacrifice.
Romans 12:1
Maybe this is the problem?
You have your doctrine backwards...
God doesn NOT do everything for you.
YOU have to do some things yourself.
Not the least of which is being a nice person.
That would seem to me to be one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 5:17
1 Corinthians 15:2
the issue is people have a watered down version of what sin is..
The religious person talks the walk, but does not walk the walk. Although they think they do.
They focus on grave sins, An adulterer and m,underwear can not get to heaven, yet they fail to see. One of the greatest men of God in the OT was an adulterer and murderer.
If we want healing, if we want to experience true4 love, if we want to PRACTICE true love, we have to first start puffing ourselves up. And Start tearing ourselves S down. Because until you have become the tax collector. You will never find healing or love, Maybe religion? But religion will not heal you. Or teach you how to love, just ask Israel how well that did them.
Judas was hand picked out of complete sincerity of Jesus. Judas was given the power to raise the dead, preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons..a true friend of Jesus who went bad, it even grieved Jesus in the spirit. Judas sought repentance but could not find it....

A cartoon from the Wall Street Journal shows a man walking up a set of stairs toward the gate of heaven. Above the gate is a sign with two words: “No Deals.” This time the Journal got it absolutely right. God makes no deals when it comes to heaven. You either enter by way of the cross of Christ or you don’t enter at all.

maybe my words could have been chosen better
by grace Jesus was sent to be our savior
When i think grace
i think Gods mercy
like when i said Grace+faith=works till salvation
what i mean is
because of Gods mercy if we accept Jesus as our savior
we will follow him into eternal life
and following Jesus doesnt lead to sin
it leads to righteousness
a lot of what you said kinda went in one ear out the other like
"Therefore its God that finds us acceptable,ie (the worthy) not the other way around.."
what are you implying here
your wording confuses me
You're contradicting yourself.
It is different. Believers are to work out (through the process of ongoing sanctification) the salvation they already have in Christ after having being justified by faith, not work for the salvation that they don't yet have through faith in Christ. Since Roman Catholicism confuses justification with sanctification and you have been indoctrinated into their belief system, this may be very difficult for you to grasp.
I see that the truth still is not sinking in yet for you and I did answer your question.
I'm amazed that you were unable to glean the answer to that question from my previous posts. Believers work out the salvation they already have in Christ (ongoing sanctification), not work for the salvation they don't yet have in Christ (justification). It's not that difficult to understand.
Apparently, it was clear to the nice folks who gave me likes, yet it seems to remain unclear to you.
