So what saved the thief on the cross.Faith alone is dead and cannot save.
Could you explain that more?
Can the explain that more?

Are you kidding? You don't know the New Covenant to come was promised by God?
You should pay attention to your behavior and not mine.
I never said I don't sin.
YOU, OTOH, have constantly played God and told some of us here that we're going to hell.
How this is allowed on a Christian forum,,,do DO NOT understand.
Try to follow Jesus and be a disciple of Jesus...
If one is...it should show and be visible to everyone reading along.
Why do people respond to her? Are not people sick of that stuff?Fran...quit lying and get some honesty and integrity......The bible is clear and what I judge by the word are the false gospels with no power to save....like what you peddle....Now.....you are here breaking the rules of this site, have lied openly about being banned and back again and nothing you say carries any weight for those that know you....peddling an obedience laced salvation that is losable and must be maintained by works or obedience while CONSTANTLY being deceptive, lying and not being obedient does not bode well for what you espouse and peddle.......end of story....
The passage in James.Could you explain that more?
You go to church one day. Have arranged a meal out with the family after the service.
Know that others can't put food on the table but you still to out to the family meal.
Is your faith dead?
That is what scripture says.Interesting way you present salvation.
"God saves those who love Him by obeying Jesus."
Yeah. When you don't agree with @dcontroversal you're dishonesr, or a liar, or unfair, or you didn't read correctly...etc etc.
Boy,,,,talk about boasting in ones self....he can't even accept a disagreement !
He's way up there on a VERY HIGH pedestal....
and yet, he says he does not boast in himself....which would mean he's humble...
humble persons do not place themselves on a pedestal.
LOL
I hold that without communion with God and the cross it is impossible to be good.
That sounds like Luther and Calvin teachings.Mans nature is to refuse Gods authority and deny His position which itself is sinful.
What? Being saved is about a personal relationship with God.The focus only on self leads to sinful self justification, which leads to death.
I have no idea what you are saying. If I desire something that is someone elses, I can justify my own needs above theirs and take it.
You need to explain yourself better for me to understand you.It is this very corruption that causes people to fall into sin and lose focus on their place within
life and the community.
I am interested how far your theology goes.
My point still stands, take James White for example, I guarantee you he knows more about "the greek" than anyoen on this forum. Yet the OTHER people who also know "the greek" disagree with James White.
ANd might I add: what language did the heretics in the apostolic times speak? YOu guessed it, greek! So they had the same writings, they knew the greek language and it did them no good!
I may not know greek, but I do know more than one language so I can compare how things are translated, and you can pick up any Bible and get the true doctrine from it, whether its NIV ESV NASB KJV NKJV etc. I trust the translators and ive compared the translations, they all say pretty much the same thing, many translators dont believe in baptism by immersion, yet their view isnt carried on to the translation ive noticed. Thats my opinion, if you dont like it, keep it moving, im not forced into agreeing.
The Holy Spirit leads into all truth!
N thats my last word on that topic. Lets leave it at that. We dont agree on that point!
The Jews had to do the purification works of the law. That is how they cleaned themselves, purified themselves, thus the name purification works. Those purification works of the law justified the Jews. Those purification works of the law were righteous acts.
Those purification works included the blood of animals.
When the people did the righteous acts of the law, which included animal blood, their not really being sorry for their sins made that animal blood sacrifice as a FILTHY RAG SACRIFICE.
We have to obey Jesus and humble ourselves and repent of sins to have a heart he saves by living in.Legalism
The tendency for legalism is righteousness without a heart.
Jesus put it like understanding rules but not mercy, faithfulness and justice.
It was the issues of empathy and love from the heart they missed while extolling the moral laws,
while not keeping them at the same time.
Jesus also criticised the legalists for having hearts full of greed and self indulgence rather than
love and listening and following Gods ways.
So I am not against the moral law, or the law of the Spirit, but motivated from a changed heart
which leads to victory and righteousness.
The tax collector's REPENTED of their sins.Who is kidding who?
If the tax collector fell on his knees and asked God for mercy as EG states what is he doing?
This is supposed to refute what I said?
He lives in a heart HE HAS CLEANSED!! Because the person became BANCRUPT
When are you going to start to give God credit?
Poor -
πτωχός, -ή, -όν, (πτώσσω, to be thoroughly frightened, to cower down or hide one’s self for fear; hence πτωχός prop. one who slinks and crouches), often involving the idea of roving about in wretchedness [see πένης, fin.; “but it always had a bad sense till it was ennobled in the Gospels; see Mt. 5:3; Lk. 6:20, cf. 2 Co. 8:9” (L. and S. s. v. I.)]; hence
1. in class. Grk. from Hom. down, reduced to beggary, begging, mendicant, asking alms: Lk. 14:13, 21; 14:20, 22.
2. poor, needy, (opp. to πλούσιος): Mt. 19:21; 26:9, 11; Mk. 10:21; 12:42, 43; 14:5, 7; Lk. 18:22; 19:8; 21:3; Jn. 12:5, 6, 8; 13:29; Ro. 15:26; 2 Co. 6:10; Gal. 2:10; Jas. 2:2, 3, 6; Rev. 13:16; in a broader sense, destitute of wealth, influence, position, honors; lowly, afflicted:
3. univ. lacking in anything,
Yeah, Sounds like the tax collector.
When are you going to do this?
He was poor in spirit. He got on his knees unable to look up to God. Because he was bankrupt. He did this, Because he had faith in God.
Blessed are those who are poor in spirit.
Once again, Scripture is right, and you are wrong.
I gave you the greek defenitionThe poor in spirit is the person's spirit; it is a person who is humble and lowly and contrite.
God so loved THE WORLD is about God loving His creation.John 3:16 would say otherwise.
I think I know what scripture you misunderstand. You have to post it though.Look it up for yourself.
Sheep/Goat, those Jesus said to that he never knew them.
Why do people respond to her? Are not people sick of that stuff?
We have to obey Jesus and humble ourselves and repent of sins to have a heart he saves by living in.
A claimed faith is not faith.
He did not warn us about it..
Meaning no faith..It does not measn faith alone.
You preach salvation by works. And reject the cross
I teach obedience to christ as do everyone here who you are attacking with your false gospel. We believe Gods truth, there is no such thing as faiht alone, FAITH WORKS.
I am not making anything up. I am interpreting what you say.
You just said it again, You have said it numerous times
1. Salvation must be earned
2. Faith PLUS works save
Do you now deny saying these things?
