Hi Truthtalk, it's obvious that you have misrepresented my post by making it appear that I am the one who made the remarks you yourself have made. It's disappointing and very unChristian. I just hope that you would refrain from doing this for whatever motive you have done this.

We all have BIBLE Software, or at least most of us do, so we all can do our own research. Posting nothing by Scripture with NO COMMENT on why you posted that particular Scripture, and the reason You personally believe that it must be interpreted a certain way; AND WITHOUT THAT IS POINTLESS. So give us a clue what goes on in your mind, and we will give you our opinion, whether we agree or disagree. You are permitted to give us on rare occasions, an off subject perspective, that the LORD has brought to your mind, or a special music video that has blessed you, but you need to remember to quickly get back to this thread's main topic, "Not By Works". THAT IS WHAT A DISCUSSION GROUP IS ALL ABOUT. Posting nothing but Scripture, time after time, is always perceived as just being plain RUDE, in a discussion group.

In Romans 6:16-22 Paul tells us that obedience leads to righteous that leads to holiness and the result is eternal life.

John the baptist said;
the ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” Luke 3:9

I fellowship with the G12 born again congregation and I learned these things from the WORD of God.
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. Better read 1 John 3:14-19, which makes it clear that OBEDIENCE IS PART OF LOVE, and NEVER part of SALVATION,

Does a person who teaches obedience to God causes another person to sin by doing so?
Would any person who don't have FAITH in God teach obedience to God? Or would the deceiver be TEACHING obedience to God as a deception? Would he not rather teach DISOBEDIENCE in His attempt to deceive the believers?
Is it not those who condemn those who teach obedience to God who DOES NOT HAVE FAITH in God and CAUSES A PERSON TO SIN?
Is it not that sin is the transgression of the law?(1 john 3:4)

Malachi, and the 7 assertions made by God against both the priests and people, has absolutely nothing to do with the salvation afforded men by faith as found under the New Covenant.....it is the first full book that I taught through in 1995 and represents the final straw before God goes silent under the law and to the Jewish people some 430 years or so before John the Immerser comes on the scene laying the ground work and preparing the material (saved immersed believers) for the coming of Jesus and the commencement of the New Covenant.....
It pleased GOD by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE <---this word is NOT OBEY...it is BELIEVE
For those who push salvation based on the merits of their obedience, I wonder just how much obedience they believe it takes to be saved? How much obedience do they believe they must accomplish and "add" as a supplement to Christ's finished work of redemption in order to "help" Jesus save them?
Christ's finished work of redemption is sufficient and complete to save believers. No supplements needed. (Romans 3:24-28)
