Becoming righteous is being without sin. The one and only way we can become righteous is by being cleansed of our sins through the blood of Jesus. The verb used in the original Greek means that we must continuously be cleansed daily by repenting. This is not a one and done but a daily process of repenting.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21New International Version (NIV)
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
When we repent of our sins we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus and become righteous.
Hi Posthuman, I am as concerned about this as much as you are. I do not think it is healthy spiritually to entertain a heretical doctrine here day after day and do nothing about it. When enough has been said and no change is coming anytime soon, put the person on ignore and let the Moderator's do the rest.
Or sadly to say you can, *not*

Sorry, but as a rule I don't open unsolicited links.
The first time was a real exception.
We have no link to find, so you might as well quit looking for one.
Yes and no. We are cleansed when we repent according to our heart. So each time we repent we are made righteous. But we are a weak people and fall in to sin again. So we must repent daily. The stronger we grow our spirit in Jesus the less we sin or in actuality the more we become aware of other areas in which we sin.

works are works are works in light of how one is saved....regardless of source or quality....they will not save, keep saved and or finish off salvation.........
We are to have mercy on everyone, no matter their standing before God.2 Thessalonians 3:14-15
If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that person, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed. Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.
Why does scripture call the disobedient believer "brother" ?

IS THIS YOUR JESUS TALKING HERE IN THIS VERSE BELOW:
Matthew 19:16-26 The Rich Young Man Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
ARE YOU GREATER THAN THE ONE YOU CALL YOUR LORD WHO TAUGHT ABOUT OBEDIENCE TO THE COMMANDMENTS CONTRARY TO WHAT YOU'VE BEEN PUSHING FOR ALL THIS TIME? I HOPE YOU WOULD HUMBLE YOURSELF AND ASK OUR LORD FOR FORGIVENESS FOR THE CONTRADICTING REMARKS.
AMEN!A clue:
Romans 4:4-5
Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness
Praise God!!
The scripture he was referring to was written in the OT, well before Jesus, the sinless Jesus, walked among the Israelite.NO, IT IS YOUR OPINION THAT HE WAS REFERRING TO JESUS TOO, WHICH HE DID NOT MEAN, THAT GIVES ME REASON TO SEE YOU AS YOU ACTING LIKE A CULT MEMBER. Mormons and JWs are famous for those kind of twisted misunderstandings and innuendos.
To use it to cause others to believe that no "other" man can live without sin is an abomination to those who do live in obedience to God.
not "posited" -- quoted ((scripture))
not shown by you or in the space of time you reference at all. not ever in question. not even relevant; a diversionary accusation of blasphemy out of thin air. i've been declaring the spotless Lamb for a period of time greater than the length of our
acquaintance
the POV that Romans 3, v.23 in particular refers to God, not to man, is obviously false, but it's the POV you keep running with
if we say we are without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in
i'm actually eternally grateful to stand at all - and the LORD is not a terror, but all who do not believe that He is will have '
And Jesus will say..."depart from ye workers of iniquity".the terrible one' for a bedfellow. they will cry, 'lord, lord? did we not . . ?'
That is what I know.
It is written..."Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:" (2 Peter 1:10)
Correct.
They have left the light for the darkness of sin.
Frankly, the sin shows they were never "of the light".
1 John 3:9 makes that clear.
God is merciful, not wanting any to perish.
They are able to start walking in the light, which is God, if they turn from sin.
The scripture he was referring to was written in the OT, well before Jesus, the sinless Jesus, walked among the Israelite.
To use it to cause others to believe that no "other" man can live without sin is an abomination to those who do live in obedience to God.
To live without sin or obedient.
Jesus was both and only him.
To be honest your post above is no more an abomination to those who walk in obedience of faith and yet acknowlede before God they get it wrong.
You claim to be sinless and those who are not are now an abomination, by inference.
I know (via pm) and have seen it but you have made people feel worthless and a piece of crap.
Something you would wipe of your shoes as you walk on by.
What you have accused others of you fall foul yourself.
No love or compassion, just piety and condemnation.
Maybe that’s why you were banned on a Christian forum you were on a few years ago.
When you stand before Jesus and he asks
”Why should I let you in”
What will be your response?
No doubt you would claim the same thing of Paul.Do you really believe that Jesus committed sin?
That is the POV you are defending.
