A Sabbath advocate or a servant believing what her Master taught?
I have the New wine in my bottle by the Grace of GOD.
Christians Keep the Commandments of GOD... the saints Keep the Commandments and have the Testimony of the Messiah.
I know you are SOF and i appreciate itYou're doing great Rosemary. If I say anything it's not mean't to be negative. Just holding you up...like the two men on the side of Moses...held his arms up and the battle was won.![]()
That's because only few will place their faith (belief, trust, reliance) in Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation (Romans 1:16; 3:22-28; Ephesians 2:8,9). Many trust in works (Matthew 7:22-23).
If we do not keep his word we were never his,
are we under law (earn eternal life) or grace (gift of God, not earned)
gods children obey him whoever sins has never known him or seen him.
Hi SOF...That`s what i am saying...If we stay in the truth at all times, then when we fall, slip, back slide what ever people want to call it, it is then we become to know the truth our Lord has told us because He picks us back up to march on because we are putting our faith in action by believing...The other night when i drank i knew i should not off, the next days ahead i would normally be under condemnation from the evil one because i never wore my helmet...This time i did wear my helmet, i rested in God while He battled for me because i trusted in Him and the evil one fled...I can only see this more now and i think to myself that what happens to alot of people who slip, they stay under the condemnation, and that weakens our faith...I am so delighted in the Lord that He has opened my eyes to this, i feel like i have grown an inch in Him lol...xox...Loosing ones faith i believe is not putting the word to work on our behalf, where James says, Faith without works is dead, i think he maybe talking about times like this, maybe not, but thats what i feel...xox...
No, I am not mixing anything
the faithful do his commands and obey
the unbelieving will not, the works they try to give t Jesus, they were not works of obedience, they are self righteous works.
As james said, those of faith are doers, not hearers only but NOT DOERS.
I think you could be a little more caring & loving, eh?
He never knew them.
He didn't say He once knew them.
So of course they didn't believe. True belief is the obedience of faith, of which Paul speaks, and entails not living a lawless life.
It's sad that you see them as servants of Christ, doing what they were told. They were none of this.
Now, fetch some church fathers who have believed your take, and please quote them.
I know, I know you don't listen "to any man", but only to yourself, so the request is moot - but it is rather convenient that you will not listen to God's men when we have this; Ephesians 4:11ff; 1 Timothy 5:17; Hebrews 13:7; 2 Corinthians 4:5; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Corinthians 16:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:12. (Sure, you can try and take 1 John 2:27 out of context and pit it against these passages but it won't fly).
Yes, interestingly enough, you say all you do is listen to God, but this isn't accurate, as you really do not listen to all of His Word and follow His decreed mandate in the provided passages above.
This is all rather convenient for you, not to listen, so you have no accountability to God's Word really, but only to yourself, and make yourself, not God's Word the final authority.
Again, the persons in Matthew 7:21-23 were not believers, they were never saved, they were never converted, Jesus never knew them. You are implying He did know them (a phrase intending a personal relationship/salvation) contradicting His solemn words.
We can never "out-sin" God's grace.![]()
Under law to earn eternal life? Under law.. it was our school Master to bring us unto Christ.. so the promise comes to those who believe... because the law was not of Faith..
Under Grace to recieve the gift.. it comes only by belief...
By Grace we have liberty to serve GOD.
Im tired of you guys playing games. Can you ever answer questions directly?
I asked: IS KEEPING THE SABBATH A REQUIREMENT TO BE SAVED?
And Jesus never taught Christians to keep the sabbath, give me a verse on that. You keep bringing it up, but you do not provide a verse.

Hi P4T...I am so glad you said this because i did read your above post and i stopped and pondered about itHi Rosemaryx,
I see what you have written concerning videos and other preachers. Please do not discount the godly men whom He uses to teach. Yes, there may be some "bad ones" but please consider and be careful.
Many persons have gone down the slippery slope of rejecting all others, won't accept "the teaching of man" and this, though it may sound spiritual, is not biblical, and is dangerous ground and there is very little hope of these recovering from their many errors, pride and unbiblical stance.
Learn to discern. Use godly men to help you understand. Stay in the Word as well.
You may note my post above post #31774 with several passages showing why this is important. Please consider each of them, that God wrote them to you. God put us together, we need one another, they are our checks and balances to keep us on the right path doctrinally and spiritually. John 17:17.![]()
No under law law you are condemned,
those under grace have have eternal life.
the law can never condemn them anymore, Col 2 god took the things against us (penalty of the law) and nail d them to the cross
No matter how it is sliced and diced...a worker for will never be able to distinguish the truth concerning the actual act of salvation and how it is received as long as they cannkt get last their own false working for dogma!
Hi Meggido...We can back slide many times can`t we as long as we are trusting, leaning and relying on our Lord...As long as we believe and are growing, we will always have Salvation...But those who go back sliding because they like it, and have no godly sorrow for their sin, then have they not turned awayNope the Sabbath is not required to be saved....
Now time for you to answer and not avoid....
How much do you need to backslide to keep your salvation?
