You are free to have your own opinions just like the rest of the body of Christ. I like the armor one for how we stand in Christ. It's a good one. It all speaks of "Him".
I believe we have a perfect spirit but we need to have our minds renewed to the truth of Christ being in us and joined as one spirit with Him. We are spiritual babies in our thinking.
Personally I like the analogy of the invisible man and when we put on Christ - others can see the love and grace of God for them. The invisible man was there in reality but just couldn't be seen by the natural eyes of the people.
Perhaps you have never seen the movie called "The Invisible Man"?
That might make a difference too in understanding the analogy...
But we are free in Christ to have other analogies. I'm sure there are tons of them that we can use as the Spirit reveals the things of Christ to us.
Another analogy I like is the plant turns it's face to "behold" the sun and in the sun the nutrients are given for the plant to produce chlorophyll which then produces glucose for the plant to grow to be what is already in it's original design to be.
The same thing happens to us in Christ as we "behold" the glory/goodness of the Lord as in a mirror. He supplies the nutrients for us to walk out what already is within us in our new creation which is joined as one spirit with Him.
...If i was speaking to my 11 yrs old grand daughter who is showing such an interest in the Lord \o/ Praise God, i would give her an easy example to her if she was to say to me "Nanny you are changing "...I would give her an example and explain to her how Christ is changing me and explain that it is like i have taken off my old coat because i have a brand new one that i am growing in to, because young children do not understand the deep knowledge of being born again, that we are born again through Christ, so a little example is more likely to touch her rather then confusing her, the coat still points to Christ, and the child still gets fed...I believe Jesus understands this coming from this Grandma ...xox...One of my favorite quotes although I can't remember the mans name is:

Amen....there are many ways and analogies that the Holy Spirit can use to reveal Christ to all of us.
As to Grandma ....
You make that easy to do, because you refuse to explain how christian growth takes place in your theology.
There will always be this huge "hole" in HG because no one can explain how people "grow unto maturity" in it.

How are you a heretic? There's not that much bandwidth, but your teachings are heresy.
In this instance? When I proclaimed being not condemned due to the work of Christ, you called that "nonsense." That's the tip of the iceberg concerning your heresy.
Hi STG...I agree...I am in a passive mode at the moment...I have a few battles going on around me that i can not do anything about but to sit and wait upon our Lord...In my quiet time with God, i thank Him for this peacefulness that He has given me to rest in, i believe God gives us these times to prepare for battle that is coming in due time...My sons example that i posted about today, he has just started walking with our Lord, i know he is going to be faced with much temptation, he is going to fall time and time again through his own battle, but God is given me His grace to sit back for a while, rest in Him, then when the time comes, i will stand up with my full armor suit on and go to battle against the evil one who is going to try and rip my son apart, my son will need my strength through God for this war, but for now i sit and wait...But i use the word passive only towards God, because i am sitting and waiting for Him only while the next move is madeIt begins active and grows more passive as we begin to realize it is not us living and doing but is HIM living and doing in us. In our more active phase (which is normal, it is not abnormal), we are doing well, we are hungering to be good and righteous and serve others.
When we go into a more passive state, it is when we realize that: the life I now live I live by the Son of God IN me. We become less and less busy about our growth and rely more and more on Him in us.
Passive doesn't mean lazy. Passive means accepting, calm, waiting on God.
Mary and Martha just make you love them. Don't you feel you will be able to immediately recognize them in heaven?
Martha was busy and active to serve others. This was not abnormal. Jesus didn't chide or yell at her. But when she wanted Him to make Mary get up and work to help her, feeling she was being lazy, Jesus said Mary had chosen the better thing. She was passively sitting and listening to Him.
Maybe you won't accept what I'm saying. Maybe you will later understand it. But if a man is in an active stage, he does well. If a man is in a passive stage, he does well too. Neither should chide the other. They are both in different stages or states.

Hi Grace...This is how i see it...If my mind is not renewed daily, i remain in the same state always, not growing, it`s impossible in my eyes that one can grow without the mind being renewed
but surely we all know that...That`s where we have to put in our effort, we can not have our mind renewed unless we read our Bible, our minds can grow stale, go back to old thinking, that is a part of our journey i believe needs to be fed every day, even if it is a crumb that falls from the table...xox...

Amen...resting in Christ's faithfulness to His promises in every situation in life is your faith in action.

Amen...There are many ways of renewing our mind and certainly reading the scriptures is a major way. The scriptures point us to Christ. It is a light unto our path and way - the path and way is Christ Himself.
Keep our minds on things above where Christ is.
Colossians 3:1-4 (NASB)

Jesus often used the things in nature to reveal the truths of the kingdom - behold the birds and lilies of the field. Paul said that all of creation speaks of Christ. We can see in creation the invisible things of Christ and God is manifested to us by these.

Yes, I agree. I do, I think, admit (confess?) when I'm wrong; not always, of course. When someone points out something I've done wrong, I'd like to think I take it to heart, & to the Lord in prayer.
What gets me is, in my experience, those very ones who do the pointing are the very ones who are quick to say, "I didn't do anything wrong". Some of whom have even professed Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior. That is something I don't think I'll ever understand.
