Best way to influence your kids is to talk to them with truth.. Tell them about your errors
and how the life style you adopted has hurt you and adversly affected the lives of others..

My friend you posted on this site. That alone proves that you are not too far gone and that you are already on the path to redemption. Yeshua meets us where we are when we let him. You too are seeking, he gave that hope to both of us. Now when he speaks additional things to you trust and obey what he asks. He will speak in his time!

Thank you for all the advice its much appreciated.one step at a time hay.I was baptised as a kid but catholic I will be getting my kids baptised christian.is there a difference in the baptism of catholic and Christian :)

Your question is hard to answer with a "yes" or a "no". Baptism is about where you are and your willingness to accept. It's not about church or about you being perfect; you aren't. Baptism is of the spirit, it's about YOUR acceptance and acknowledgement of Yeshua as lord. It is the beginning of your journey and oh, what a glorious trip it will be.

Hi I'm from UK and I'm not a Christan I grew up fighting and drinking but since I've been in my 30s I've felt different I was brought up a catholic but never believed in it.the bible on other hand had to much truth past present and future not to believe I have 3 kids but I split with my ex about 9 years ago and I don't want my kids to follow in my footsteps where I live is very anti religios I know I'm to far gone but my kids on other hand arnt any advice would be most helpful thank you

Baptism is an act of obedience to the work of God in them joining the believer to Christ. As such, it should be done after salvation.

Thank you I'm just trying to plant the seed at the mo I don't want them forced in to it like I was with catholicism. Thanks all you've been a grate help

I decided to get baptized again as a teenager after spending some time reading the Bible and learning the meaning of baptism.
I didn't remember anything about my first baptism and it was something meaningful to me after I learned what it meant as related to one of the principles mentioned in the video.

St. Phillip the Evangelist gave the clear example of an Ethiopian who worked for a queen. Acts of the Apostles, ch. 8.
God sent Phillip to the man because he had a question like yours. The Ethiopian had an honorable heart that wanted to know what the Bible said and asked Phillip if he would explain. Baptism was discussed, but St. Phillip would not baptize him until he clearly understood that the Book of Isaiah prophesy said about Jesus. The man decided that he wanted to make that decision to stop trusting his own good works and instead trust Jesus, the Son of God the Father.
Afterwards, he baptized the man and he went on his way rejoicing. He had to understand the right Biblical perspective and even though he wanted to do a good deed, like getting baptized, Phillip needed to teach him about it's significance, then let the man make the decision as explained in that video above.
If I was considering this for my children, I would take St. Phillip's example.

We were all too far gone. That is why Jesus died on the Cross for us. He paid the price that we could not pay. It is only because of Him that we can get a second chance. His offer of Salvation is open to Everyone. That means You.

Give Him everything, the good, bad, and the ugly. He wants to clean you up and make you a new man. Only He can do this thing. He loves you and wants to start right now. You don't have to understand how it works. He died on the Cross to make it possible for you to be saved from your sins and go to Heaven. You can learn more later. Just come to Him now.

Revelation 3:20

bet the kids would love to be dunked, hook line and sinker :LOL: do everything the bible way. Come to Christ like they came and you'll get what they got.

Yes, there is, because RCC baptizes infants, whereas the Biblical way is to repent, believe, and then be baptized. However, there is nothing wrong with having a dedication-type ceremony (for lack of a better word :unsure:), although some of your children may already be old enough to decide, since some do come to Christ at an early age. I would also suggest a course of action that follows through on your intention on how to raise your children. That means taking them to church, and getting them involved in youth groups, as well as setting a good example for them by becoming involved in your church fellowship too; perhaps a good Bible study. My church family is absolutely wonderful, and I hope you are likewise able to find something that meets your needs while providing you a way to serve as well :)

First off, YOU are NOT too far gone! Awesome that you are earnestly seeking the Lord. He always responds to a humble, repentant heart.


If you haven't yet been born again, here is THE Gospel unto Salvation. I pray in Jesus Name you will accept Him.

THE Gospel unto Salvation:
God wrapped Himself in human flesh in the form of His Son, Jesus the Messiah. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He suffered, was crucified, and died to pay OUR sin debt. He was raised to life from the grave to prove He had defeated death. If you confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that His Father resurrected Him to Life on the 3rd day, you WILL be saved. You will be filled, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will empower ALL to turn from their sins. The sin of adultery, lying, stealing, homosexuality, gossip, slander, drunkenness, covetousness, etc... And most importantly the sin of DEAD works, or a moral life in an attempt to EARN Salvation. He will also equip you to love like He did and do good works for HIS Glory.

I agree wit the Bible study but I've never been to keen on church it seems it's all about money well with Catholics anyway and didn't Jesus say church is in you.you are your church and when your praying isn't that a direct line to God 🙂
