I’d highly recommend reading the New Testament scriptures, mainly Apostle Paul since he was ordained to the Gentiles , although the rest of scripture should be studied prayerfully. I find Romans , 1&2 Corinthians, Galatians , (1 Timothy 2timothy which help leaders . ) but all of the NT . I love the Acts its very foundational and history of the early church . Very encouraging to see how God worked and could work again , but sin and disobedience will cause God to withhold blessing. The seven churches in Revelation is a good lesson too . Most of them had problems, and the Lord warned them and most needed to repent and obey . The last church Leodecia was really in bad state , and the warning was to individuals. Kinda where we are now in many places . I don’t know the state world wide there must be some somewhere honoring the Lord . He only knows . But if a person is in a dishonourable church , most likely will need to leave it and find others that seek the Lord out of a pure heart . Separation from evil is usally the first step . It talks about that in 1 Corinthians 5 , 2 Timothy ch 2 . Most importantly 🙏 , usally a church will not change I tried a few times they refuse and so I leave , and I have stayed with reading the word and prayer a lone often . And it works . Some will use the verse forsake not the gather together . But that is conditional that they are honoring God as I see it , if they dishonour the Lord they need to be informed about it , if they refuse to listen then you can decide can you condone it or not . Apostle Paul said a little leven levens the whole lump , meaning a little sin will infect the whole body . So sin is not to be tolerated. Otherwise leave it . Don’t expect change to come easy in any church set in its ways . Separation requires a strong relationship with the Lord , but I think he will help you if you do the right thing .He has helped me much for a long time . My relationship has grown a lot stronger now after being separated many years . I hope this helps some one .

Precious friend, please advise The Scripture(s) you are referring to?
Good idea! I do have the scripture and many of us have read it many times just as they did in ancient times to which, our ancient brothers didn't respond to what was already in place, that the Spirit-led Body of Christ itself was and is greater than all gifts. (1Cor 14:29):

Have two or three prophets speak, and have the others pass judgment.

Verse 32: "The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets." Never, at the expense of the corporate Body of Christ!

The Flaw
Somehow, the loss of seizing verse 29's authority over the prophet is the excuse all institutional liturgy was founded upon,

"To maintain imperial unity, the hierarchy suppressed unpredictable [life of the Spirit] "spiritual" outbursts."

Well I’d read the whole NT prayerfully! Meditate on it 2 Timothy is excellent chapter 2 the whole chapter is very informative. You need to read the context not just a verse here and there . But these verses in 2 Timothy ch 2 are highlighted v 15 , 16, 19 , 20, 21, 22 , 23,24 ch3 v 16,17 ,ch 4 v 2,3,4 the whole book really ! Titus whole book . Romans ch 12 ,13 1Corinthians chapter 14 this is church order by commandments . Rarely found . V33 ,34 35, 36,37 ,40 some women will not like it . They use the excuse that women can prophecy, which is true but not in the church its against The Lords commandment. Of silence in the church and not teaching or usurping power over men . This is God order and is rarely adhered to . A big problem! 1 Timothy ch 2 v 8- 15 same teaching about women.1 Timothy Ch 3 v1,2 some verses to look at but of course more of them I hope this helps .

Yes Love is the greatest motivation, Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. And loving our neighbour is near the top of his commandments.

There also is the LORDs day do you know which day is the LORDS day . Do a Bible search you may be surprised.
Nah, I would certainly have to determine this as non-essential for some Christians. Yes, we are ALL not to ''forsake the gathering of ourselves together'' on that day, as long as it is for the benefit of both persuasions, Rom 14:5.

In essentials Unity. In Non-Essentials Liberty. In all things Charity.
Non-Essentials? Yeah yeah, undoubtedly ''we don't need the gifts liberty''. That right? Now tell me again what spirit is it that conforns to the tight-liped institutional Church? That is correctly the non-essential, for where the Spirit is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17).

So, after my post (164), none of our Liturgical cared to defend it. And none of the ''gates of hell shall not prevail against my Church'' cared to defend that. Both have been faced by coughed up authority in that post. So is V13 and V14 is what is left from this less-militant form of faith?

''And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.''

''Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.''
