Nothing.
God chooses to make the calling first.

So we are all heaven bound.... I like your style be great if you were right.

Nothing at all, can you back that up with HIS word so many people have their own opinion.[/QUOTE]
You didn't understand what I said so I'll leave it there.

Don't follow your point. Do you understand the verses I posted - do you see the word "saved" in v5 - that salvation is solely by God and His mercy, and nothing of salvation is by us? It isn't complicated

So that's a no.

That is not the only scripture in HIS word, they all have to fit together.

What do you think, is this about salvation?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Accoding to JESUS we have to be born of water and of spirit to enter, what do you think HE is talking about?

Born of Water,
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Born of Spirit,
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

If you can't back it up it's best to leave it in you head and not say it.

Your aggression does not obscure your incapacity to understand the scriptures.

So that's a no.

A no? Really? Then you are unable to comprehend the most fundamental doctrine of the Bible regarding salvation - upon which all other doctrines of salvation have been built, and thereby, you reject salvation being by God's mercy and grace yet trust the works of man over them. That being the case, as of now at least, you've condemned yourself and have placed yourself beyond anything further that I might say.

Sorry, I don't have much tack, I ask questions to those who are mixed up my goal is to get people to look at sctipure instead of them doing all of the talking.

What about the rest of what I shared?

Here is the problem I don't care what you say, it's your opinion that's it.

I condemned myself? From what????? Your opinion???

We should care what HIS word says, I can see you don't like what we have to do to be reborn.

That's between you and JESUS, it will be him judging you with HIS rule book not your wisdom.

Since you don't like the scriputure I shared.

You tell me HOW DO I GET REBORN.

SHARE HIS WORD, how do I get reborn?

Same way you were born physically, by God's will and purpose. You at the Mercy of God.

Just because you say it does not make it true, don't care how many times you do!!

What does HIS word say how to be reborn???

Satan's plan keep them out of the water, if they get in the water keep JESUS name out of it.

As you can see it's working.

Yes, God's merciful will is for all to reborn. (1Tim. 2:3-4, John 3:16, etc.)

Satan's plan keep them out of the water, if they get in the water keep JESUS name out of it.

You tell me HOW DO I GET REBORN.

No one can get themselves reborn - as with all things that pertain to salvation - spiritual rebirth must be given by God through Jesus Christ as a free gift - Christ is the Savior - it is not possible to give life to oneself - and that was the point of the verses I provided in my earlier post. Not all verses in the Bible are equal regarding spiritual purpose; some are foundational and provide the basis for others. You rejected the foundational even while understanding its meaning and discard its message thereby misinterpreting the intent of other verses that should be seen in light of it. That foundation is that salvation comes solely by God's mercy through Christ as is clearly stated in/by those verses. Everything else in the Bible regarding salvation must agree with and support that, and certainly, nothing else can contradict nor invalidate it.
The water that leads to salvation is not the water of baptism but the water that is given by Christ.

[Jhn 4:14 KJV] 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

False Gods mercy is limited to some Rom 9:15-18

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth

You and I can only hope He chose to have mercy on us

These free will threads invariably evoke deep emotional responses.

I had ZERO horse in this race decades ago when first confronted by this question.

As I've matured in the faith and Word, I've personally come to believe. although we absolutely are responsible for our sin, we cannot come to the Lord, and choose Him unless HE chooses us first,

That's a hard pill to swallow for most folks, myself included because in our human minds and intellect we naturally jump to this being unfair.

Couple observations:

1. I've asked over the years, without a satisfactory answer, how can a DEAD person CHOOSE to do anything?
Scripture is unequivocally clear that until we are born again, we are DEAD. Spiritually speaking. This is the ENIRE reason Jesus had to die for us. It's what the volume of the Bible is about. Undoing our Spiritual death we all have through Adam.
Can our flesh choose?
The answer most often given by those who believe WE can choose is, " We're only MOSTLY dead, just alive enough to choose".

2. I'm not the least bit angry or upset by those who think differently on this issue. Yet people on the opposing side get angry and upset. (OBVIOUSLY SPEAKING IN GENERALITIES) This also tells me about who is correct on this issue.

3. I absolutely agree with those believing in free will on this issue, that in my 3 pound brain, using human intellect and logic, this seems patently unfair. But I FULLY trust God on this, and just because I may not be able to comprehend His ways, I know in the end His ways are true and just. And I can live with that.

You don't know what we have to do to be reborn?

Why talk so much, how about let JESUS do the talking?

John 4:14 is referring to the Holy Ghost which when I asked you if you had you did not reply.

Have you?

look at what HIS word says,

JESUS SAYS,
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

NOTICE WATER AND SPIRIT TO ENTER?

JESUS SAYS,
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Note, if you don't believe you will not be baptized so you are damned.

JESUS SAYS,
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Peter says,
Acts 2:38-39
King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Do you care about what JESUS and Peter says?

Notice after Peter's message THREE THOUSAND SOULS WERE ADDED!!

If you would like to be added and need a good JESUS following church give me your zip code and I will find you one.

You at Gods Mercy

He left us a rule book, if we don't read it, understand it and obey what it says we must do, we will be Hell bound.

Would you like me to share how to be reborn?

Stupid question sorry, that's why I'm here.

Acts 2:38-39

YOUR choice to obey or not.

Sorry you at Gods mercy on whether or not you will be born again, as it was when you were born the first time. You didn't have a rule book then to follow. It was not your choice at all
