Our generation is filled with rude and narcissistic people. We will never get to experience the way our ancestors treated one another. Technology ruined everything.

There are a lot of good examples in the bible about the way our ancestors treated one another. There is no correlation between technology and a persons behavior either good or bad. The natural man is inclined to evil and that's how it has been since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. Each generation has it's own unique set of challenges and circumstances, and each person has a choice, to do good or to do evil.

Somebody better inform Cain. And the Pharisees, especially Saul, and Romans. King David. Shall I go on?
Blaming technology for people's behavior is entirely unfounded.

I respect the last part of your message, we do have the choice to do good or evil. Thanks for reminding me to do my best in projecting a positive influence on others. Unfortunately, our good deeds are out done by the multi-billion dollar corporations who have been socially conditioning humanity for the last several decades.

Regardless of technology or whatever we are going to go down hill it's in the Bible no point in expecting anything else. But we can still experience that love because the church is supposed to be the place where that's displayed, so even if everything ends up terrible and everyone around us is sliding further from God we will always be here, and we will always be the same. The church is where Christ love is and that will never change so don't get too down man you always have the church, God bless.

is this generation mainly populated with people who deny the truth and live accordingly?

id have to say yeah if i go based off my own personal experience....

but to say there is no hope and blame it on a creation of man is not the right perspective

i have seen children
teens
and young men like myself who not only know the truth but have already been given many gifts and you can see it in their loving day to day walk

but this isnt to say
my hope is in this generation though

it is only in Jesus

whatever happens here is just a drop in the ocean to me....

what is majorly on my mind is my future with Him

Maybe - just maybe there aren't more of these sorts of people as your describe, or more murderers, rapists, or even general assaults etc. Maybe, due to technology, you just get to hear more about more of them, from further afield, coupled with that information being available faster than ever!

Remember just 15 years ago where if a neighbour didn't tell you, or the local paper didn't print it, you never knew unless it made TV news?!

We are reminded by this that wrong surrounds us and it is through our witness of the gospel that such people can be saved through Christ. The world isn't filled with more of them, the challenge Christ set us is just as hard as when the Disciples left that upper room.

Don't think down, think up, pray for strength, inspiration and try to show witness through you life and actions.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

All generations are full of rude and evil people. Just instead of taking it to the interne, they went out into bars and cafes to destroy someone's reputation.
You have no right to judge any generation as there are always good and bad people. Sometimes they get better with time and sometimes worse.
Plus often the rudest people are the weakest and need guidance

May I ask what generation you are?
Or did you just mean generation as in people around right now?
Millennial. No doubt there are bad people in every generation but noticing a progression of contempt in the youth and I primarily blame popular culture for the kind of morality being pushed and technology for making people lazy and obsessed with themselves.

Hello Simao,

If you think it is bad now, this is nothing compared to what it will be like after the church has been removed. Be thankful that the Lord has promised to gather us and to keep us out of that time of extreme evil and prior to God's wrath.

Oh,well that didn't work right. I read Ahwatukee reply to Simao and clicked reply and only got half, the half j already agreed with.

I in fact don't think it's so bad now, My fathers generation had the rise of the mafia, the great depression, (caused by rude, narcissistic people), Nazis, Marxists, fascists, Imperialists. In King's James's and Henry 8ths times it was easier for a king to have a wife beheaded than to get a divorce. Don't get me started on the Ceasar's. Today is rather calm, kind of like the eye of a hurricane, The worst part is comming.

I'm with the Baby Boomers so I guess I'm not lumped in with that group. I suggest that all the Millennials be rounded up and placed in a detention facility in Nevada surrounded by a wall. They need to be reeducated.

Yeah, My folks were born in 1914 & 1919 for me it was 1954 so I grew up with a different outlook than many of my friends. My father and his family lost the family business during prohibition, tobacco was cheap and corn was nearly worthless, unless they made whiskey. The family moved to Texas to try raising cotton till the banks folded up. They lost everything but before the bank foreclosed the dust bowl struck and along with it the wind blew it all away. So they became homeless to boot.

F.D.R. was their hero and socialism was his tool that set America on its feet again, in the nick of time too before WWII broke out. So I too am a baby boomer but my parents brought me up with a different outlook and value system than others my age. I've also studied history and have a wider field of vision than most my age. If it seems to get better its only a trick to get our guard down. There may come a day not long from now when we will feel blessed to find an old phone book and have a match to light it with, it's only been 90 years since last time.

How did our ancestors treat one another? Because I always thought that it wasn't so lovingly...

All i'm saying is the world is a much shittier place than it was 60-80 years ago. I believe the elimination of gender roles, the destruction of traditional family, promotion of promiscuity and rebellion has warped peoples minds and have just have commenced the end of our civilization. That's where I'm trying to get at.

i will admit that civilization has declined in recent years it has not yet reached the levels of sin and debachey as the romans and greeks had in their rise to stardom.
