When darkness comes to rule the night
Shadows dance in the dim moonlight
Of angels or demons I do not know
For Love has taken a piece of my soul
What spell she had on me I cant explain
But on my Heart I carry scars of sorrow and pain
And as I lay my head to sleep
Memories of the past slowly creep
My screams echo throughout the sky
To be written in the realm of time
Of Loves greatest crime
Should I stand and fight, or just walk away
And let her demons have their way
For nothings really as it seems
When you live your life in such a dream
Now night has broken, becomes the day
In my mind she fades away

You write with beauty and great power. Also it seems, with great sadness. Your images touched me.

Thank you for posting.

Your welcome. Thank you so much for your words. I forgot a verse. It would have #9 "And as the night passes by." And so on. LOL

Very beautiful.

Your poem has clarity as well as sensitivity. I've read it a couple of times: really good.

Hope to read more of your poems!
