Are you aware of any problems that led to the shut down? I was completely unaware and spent a lot of time on the Board everyday... hmmm... maybe I was part of the problem?

It could have just been one post about cheeseburgers too many!
Not gonna lie, it stung a bit to find the gates locked. I wish the admin could have posted a less vague reason, or at least given people a chance to say goodbye or where they might be heading. I think the board took an inordinate amount of time, it probably hung over his head and obviously something was the final straw. Maybe he can at least relax a little now.
But now we can get acquainted with our family here, and maybe see some more familiar posters come in.

. At first when I started designing Scripture panels, I was using the free online program that was Pixlr at the time, but they went offline at some point around
the summer of 2018, and when they returned, they had dumbed down the program so much it was
useless to me. That was when my daughter got Photoshop for me. Pixlr had been very similar to it...

I'm a graphic designer by trade, so have been using Photoshop since the beginning (we were in school just when digital graphics were taking off for the desktop). I produce all sorts of art for clients, as well as layout work, typography, etc. Sometimes I have time to just do something for fun, and since I am also a paddler, this is one personal vector (Illustrator) piece I dug up to share from 2019, which I apparently left incomplete!

ephemera to it that others have designed, the ephemera being the individual pieces I have
collected since 2018: borders, backgrounds, frames, flowers, skies, clouds, butterflies, special
effects, all manner of human parts and dress, and now especially faces and face parts. I have
gathered well over 12,000 bits LOL, and can spend hours at a time searching out particular things
and sorting through what is offered to save the few that suit my style and/or I think I might have
use for. For instance, I posted my Ephesians 2:10 panel for Bethlehem57 after seeing that verse
given on their profile; the figure started out looking like this:
I make many edits and alterations to each piece as it is added, and throughout the design process.
I collect the pieces from sites that offer them free for use in personal projects with the caveat of no
financial gain, and they do not require accreditation. I learned remedial Photoshop skills at my
job (I work in photofinishing, and have done for more than forty years .
), and I probably only know and use a small fraction of the program, but muddle along and get by with what I do know .

I just realized now (haha) that her nose was a bit too dark and cold (magenta/blue) so have altered it yet again .

When Todd ran RR he used moderators to help manage the forum. It seemed to run smoother, when the problems were dealt with asap instead of letting them fester.
RF was micro managed to a point, instead of dealing with the problem children, the whole sub forum, page, or link would be disabled and everyone would suffer. I’m glad my church is not that way anymore, our micro manager got relocated.

Hi, this is ANDIAMO from RF. TAll Timbers thanks so much for keeping your screen name - so glad to find you & the others here. I'm so shocked and sad. He has changed the message at the site and says the forums are now down permanently! The least he could have done was to give us a heads up so that we could move our community somewhere else. I tried to post on Facebook and he is removing those comments as fast as people post them. Very disappointing to say the least. But this sudden decision confirms some thoughts I had too. I don't know what the problems were? I recently had a lapse of judgement and forgot the rules and gave a bunch of advice to someone in the prayer forum. Maybe he was upset about that. 
I hope Margery makes her way here. All of her posts....gone!!!!!!

There is probably not one of us refugees that are not thinking, What did I do or say that caused this?
Every single member of any forum has probably at one time or another said, I wished I hadn’t said _____X____. Because we’re all human we all occasionally fall short, even the pastors.

Maybe they will open again under a new name.

oh just a coupla years older 'n meI never heard of those forums before, but a couple of members here were talking
about where they had been before here, and actually mentioned your name .
Not sure how long those forums were operational... CC is close to 25 years old!
