Georgia state troopers arrested Democratic state Rep. Park Cannon on Thursday after she knocked on Republican Gov. Brian Kemp’s statehouse office door as he signed a controversial elections bill into law in a closed-door ceremony.

Lt. W. Mark Riley, spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol, said in a statement Thursday evening that Cannon was warned to stop knocking on the door because the area reserved was for the governor's staff.

"She was advised that she was disturbing what was going on inside and if she did not stop, she would be placed under arrest. Rep. Cannon stepped back for a moment and then stepped back up to the door and started knocking on the door again," Riley said. "She was again advised if she did not stop, she would be arrested for obstruction and disturbing the press conference."

Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams, the founder of voting rights group Fair Fight, said in a statement that the law was "blatantly unconstitutional" and "nothing less than Jim Crow 2.0."

Politically I very much align with the thoughts shared here. I am grieved by the corruption of our political system and, as an American, am ashamed. I still believe we are the shining beacon on a hill but the bulb in the lamp continues to dim. Trump had started to clean the bulb so it shined more brightly again but now the dust is gathering more rapidly than ever. I am reminded of the scripture in Luke 11.

24When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ 25 On its return, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first.”…

In this case the liberals are the demons that were kicked out of power in government while the house was being cleaned up and now they are coming back in force.

And, having said all of that I have to constantly remind myself that our war is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities of this world. If we read the scripture we are not surprised that this world is continuing to decay. It is sad to see for sure but predictable. As Christians we can hold to the fact that we know the end of the story. God ultimately wins.

This is shutting the barn door after the horse has escaped. It is probably because of what happened in Georgia that the election fraud went through for the president as well as the senators.

What was Kemp doing for however long he was in office BEFORE Nov 3,4,5 etc? And I see that several things such as mail-in ballots, drop boxes, and voting machines etc have not been banned altogether. And why is Kemp not vocally and strongly challenging Stacey Abrams bogus claims about voter suppression? All the MSM are already attacking this bill but there should be a rejoined by the governor and the legislature.

So much going on that is good news within the fight for liberty but yes it gets no coverage by the mainstream media.

Well if you believe much of what we saw was a overstressed, unforeseen or lack of laws to protect the election vs a willingness on Kemp's part to allow it, makes a difference on how you see this.

Either you see it as a good response to the flaws or evil that took place, or you see it as better late than never.

Mail in ballots require now voter ID and they are including a clean up of ballot registration. Drop boxes are no longer able to be funded by third parties like Facebook. And will be limited to designated locations. They also must be counted within a time limit.
