Welcome to CC, brother! So nice to meet you. Assurance comes gradually, gently, and quietly to most. Don't give up. Jesus loves you very much. He wants you to feel it as well as know it. It can get sweeter as the days go by. Do not let Satan trick you into thinking that salvation is something complicated. It is sooo simple. Jesus did it all on the cross because He loves you and wants to live inside you now and wants you to soon live with Him in Heaven, with Him, forever.
Everybody talks about John 3 a lot, but that is for good reason. It sums things up really well...
John 3
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Adam really messed things up in the Garden, but the blood Jesus shed on the Cross is like medicine. Just accept that you are sick and take that medicine today. Surrender completely to Him today. It is ok, because He loves you. Don't try to figure everything out, because we can't. Don't try to be perfect or earn anything, because we can't. All we can do is humble ourselves before the Lord.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
