I would say, if your seeking him, he is the one that has Blessed you to seek him.
I would say, fall to your knees, and just start talking to him. Ask for his forgiveness for your sins and ask for the holy spirit to come within your heart. Spend time both in the Holy Bible and in prayer talking with him. Ask him to open your eyes to the things he would have you know and do on his behalf. Follow what he shows you.
I could go on, but going back to what I said in the begining of this reply, if you are wanting to know him, that Blessing of wanting to know him IS from God, he placed that within you. Know then He IS with you.

Do you believe that He is the only true living God - and Creator of all things?
Do you believe that He is Holy and Righteous?
Do you realize and understand that you have sinned against Him?
Do you believe that His only-begotten Son - the Lord Jesus Christ - died for you - so that you could live? (spiritually)
Are you willing to forsake the ways of the world and follow Him?
The Bible says
Romans 10:
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you truly believe - not only that He exists - but, that He is the Author and Finisher of your salvation - then, place your trust in Him and ask Him to forgive you and save you - and He will!
The phrase 'confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus' means to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

You have eyes, and ears, and a mind and you can read and write and think. God gave you the desire to seek him, use everything He gave you, but please be careful and avoid relying on another human being. Take all the great advice you get but rely and trust what God tells you in your prayer, Bible study and worship times.

If you want to find God, it's easy. He is right there with you now. He promised that if you seek Him, He will cause you to find Him. All you have to do is ask. He hears the weakest voice. All I said was, "There has to be more to life than this". A few months later, I met Jesus. I did not have to find Him. He found me. May I suggest this web site as a starting point. God is what they call "omnipresent".
Meaning that He can't get lost because He is everywhere at the same time.
You might be lost... can't seem to find Him.
But in truth...He needs to find you.
"I left the 99 to find the one...and you are the one" is a beautiful line from a song based on a story in scripture...
You call out...He always finds you. ALWAYS

God bless and keep you always!Sure, give us some personal stuff about where you start from, and what you went through that made you seek out such a forum as this. A baseline understanding for us to relate to and give personal suggestions, instead of vagueness. I am also new, and have not read the collection of books, so cannot help too much with scripture, only my feeling of being marked, and ready for salvation after reading up some more. Do you know the bible? Or want to learn together with someone who is also new? I am starting on Joel or amos tomorrow.
Also, if you are specific on where you are, and what made you change, and what you ponder, we can do it logically and go into specifics on the individual verses. Do some interpretations, that is fun and informative.Best of luck buddy, you are on the path, you seek, you shall find. Just seek some help carrying your cross for a while till you carry it on your own. Everything works out fine as long as you have faith. If you can, you should make a thread in the bible section about something you have a hard time making sense of, and the rest here tends to have very good answers.

Starting in the Bible I suggest reading the Gospel of John and the book of Psalms. I prefer the King James Version but a study Bible helps understand some of the older language. YouTube also has versions of the gospels and acts in a movie format. They help when reading the gospels and got me excited as I reached certain points during my reads of the Bible.
Some apps and suggestions I have:
Get a life Media- the app and site have years of content. I really enjoyed the series of Noah and the Character of God series but really enjoy all the content.
Holy Bible app is great for helping with Bible study and providing a daily verse.
I also really enjoyed the YouTube Channel Bible Project for a quick breakdown of each book.
