Yeah, it's a real hoot sometimes...lolI never go to the BDF to debate. But I have asked a few questions there. Never experienced any impolite people there myself, but I have of course seen others fighting in there.
News Forum, Miscellaneous, Conspiracy Theory Forum...now that’s a completely different story lol. But like I said, this old hag is rarely innocent herself when trouble is at the door.
Speak the truth and you will get attacked. People have aligned with there preferred region and manmade theology. As soon as you point out the majority of them are false, the attacks begin. False religion is the stronghold of the enemy. Also anything that goes against mankind's traditions as well. I have only been on here a few months and experienced it all. After having spent almost seven years in the CC trenches I have to say that it is interesting to observe how people are treating each other here.
I’m no Saint myself, let that be clear.
However, regardless of everything, in my years here I have more often than in active duty been called ‘evil’, ‘stupid’, ‘ignorant’, ‘wicked’, ‘false teacher’, ‘idiot’, ‘jerk’, ‘intellectually challenged’, ‘not able to be thinking abstract’, ‘eyelash flapping’, ‘not the sharpest knife in the drawer’, ‘delusional’, ‘dishonest’, ‘gullible’, ‘strange’, ‘gaylover’, ‘raving mad’, and etc etc etc.
Many people have been judging me on even more levels.
What does this say about the debates here?
I found out quick to not get involved with BDF. I don’t think we should debate the word of God. Discussion is good. Arguing is not. Every thing you do. Do for the glory of God.CC rule 1: Never go to the BDF. Just don't.
CC rule 2: If BDF refugees leak into more sane corners of the forum, treat them as trolls and starve them of the attention they need. It works just as well on lost BDF members as on trolls and they will wander back to their arguments.
CC rule 3: Whatever you are called by whomever, you are being called it by a person you will never meet. There isn't one opinion on this whole forum that matters unless the person expressing the opinion has earned the respect to listen to his opinion.
I am reminded of a kid on the church bus who was getting really upset because another kid said he was eight years old. Well he was in fact nine, not eight.
"But he keeps saying I'm eight!"
"Does that make you eight?"
"No."
"Then he's wrong. Ignore him."
I've reminded myself of that many times since then. There's a lot of people who are wrong and very vocal. I can argue with them or I can get on with my own life.
Hmm... all I can think of is when a girl bats her eyes at a guy, blinks rapidly. If the insult was directed at a guy, the insulter might have been saying the insultee was effiminate. If the insult was directed at a girl, the insulter might have been calling the insultee coquettish or flirty.Out of all of the insults my question is what is "eyelash flapping"? That doesn't even sound like a good insult to anything really.
I guess when they ran out of things to say they just started making things up... Either that, or they just really don't like the way you blink.
I married the last girl that blinked at me. Or maybe it was a wink. I forget.Hmm... all I can think of is when a girl bats her eyes at a guy, blinks rapidly. Ummm, eyelash flapping?! For real?
I'm a woman...I've heard the eyelash flapping thing before, too...Pretty sure this is meaning...You're just a woman so what could you know, listen and learn, or speak when spoken too, etc. or something like that![]()
Yikes...Heard just a few of men say it in my time. I would have never guessed a woman would say it...It's pretty offensive to say the least.Too bad other women find it a fitting thing to say as well....
Well, yeah, it was a woman who said that...I guess she found it appropriate at that moment...lol.
It doesn’t matter where you go this is how people act. I don’t mean to sound harsh but welcome to the world.![]()
Just never heard of it before. What does it mean?
