Being at the top wouldn't make it more active.

With everything from furniture positioning in a room to Christian standards of holiness to ingredients in a recipe, the first thing to ask before you change something is, why did they do it like this in the first place? There's almost always a good reason.

It’s hard to find at the bottom, especially if you’re a new user
Many of the sub forums have no activity and just take a bunch of real estate

No point really in arguing with anyone. No one here has the ability to change anything. And long term users have a better understanding of the mindset of the site owner.
Honestly I think the site owner put this forum up to stop people from messaging him directly with ideas. I don't know that he's ever used a suggestion given, except maybe once in all the years this forum has been open.
But really, how hard can it be to find the prayer request forum? Scroll down from the main page, just like the rest of the forums. That's not difficult to find. That's how the site works.
The order the forums 'should' be in is purely a subjective view. And in this case one person has the ability to put his view into practice. As is his right.
And it's your right to suggest changes, but anything you do beyond that is superfluous. Including trying to convince others.

Like the idea, but if you become more involved in the site you are bound to see it eventually.

If anything, the position results in more sincerity since people that are only casually interested don't make it far down. It took me a while to notice it but I guess it could be a sticky in another subforum as a hyperlink.

This could lead to clutter though and while it might tone down BDF "somewhat" I'm uncertain.

At least it has its own place.
