Even the tongue sticking out is not nasty in any way to me. It can express exasperation as well as good natured see-what-I-mean type of nudge. Sometimes adding a smile can unnerve the other, if you say something really cutting and then grin. I do that. I don't mince words but rarely get angry even though people misinterpret my candour and cutting to the chase to their way of thinking, perhaps deliberately in attempts to provoke me. So I have my say and smile
