So, I went there for the first time, this one is called, 'Yulee Methodist Chruch.' I love this church, and hoping to make her my home.
What I want to say, is about this church.
They are catholic, but, it's different. They do not believe in praying to people, only Jesus Christ. They said only Jesus Christ is the mediator. And then there is the bible they use. They do not use the catholic bible.

But, they say they are catholic, even though it's different than that. And They too, talked very briefly, about there being many denominations.

If I had known it was catholic church, I would have stayed away. But I am so happy I went to them. God, knows, I had been curious about the Catholics, because a friend of mine is Catholic. And then, I wanted to go visit this church, I was being drawn to it, very much. The fact that my other friend, had came from this church, made me want to go here even more. Then, at the church, I have a relative there. Someone by marriage, but she knows my family.

Matt. 6:7 “And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

9 “Pray, then, in this way:

‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 ‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 ‘Give us this day [e]our daily bread.
12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from [f]evil. [g][For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’]

Did they explain how they could be Catholic and Methodist?

Their Apostles Creed says they believe in the Catholic (catholic means universal) church but other than that ive never known a Methodist church to be catholic. I do know they split awhile back do to differences so who knows. The split had to fo with gay minisrers and other differences.

I've never been a Methodist, but I visited a Methodist church in Atlanta that also mentioned Catholic. They said they said that because it means universal, not the Catholic church.

I only went a handful of times though, the preacher preached things that I don't consider to be Biblical. He preached that Christ could have came as a man or woman. I reject this belief. He also preached that we don't have to believe in Christ, as long as we believe in God. I believe that you get to the Father through Jesus the Son.

Anyway, I hope your experience turns out to be better than mine was!

That was in the service today.

@rrcn they never told me they where catholic, they only had the apostle creed that we all spoke at same time. This is how I came to the conclusion they where some kind of Catholic church. But maybe your right, they are Methodist church, not Catholic.
Like everyone said here...

So far the preacher never said anything outside the word of God. But I have only been here just this one time. The other time I had been there, I was ran off by someone who didn't forgive me from the past.

They do very in belief quite a bit. I attended one here in the south where they spoke in tongues. Wonderful people, full and growing church.

So yes, my friend came from that church there. We used to ride the same school bus home everyday. I knew she was from Yulee Methodist Church, because I had asked her about 3 times for some reason. I was unsaved bad person back then. I know she has the gift of prophecy and can see the spirits. She even opened my eyes so I could see the spirits too one time. I believe and trust she and her sister have the holy spirit. I am sad that I can't find her anywhere.

I believe the pastor, the leader there at Methodist today, as the gifts of discernment and prophecy. Because, he was able to speak directly at me about today's message today. He even said while standing up there, "Remember that one.", when he was looking right at me.

Umm, I didn't say anything, but was thinking in my mind. Yes I do remember that one, and it was my fault. He was talking about Adultery.

Curiosity is normal, but do your homework and stay away from a "Catholic" church; their practices are idolatrous and blasphemous. They talk about Jesus but deny the atonement He secured on the cross.

I was quite surprised! I haven't really checked out more of their churches in the south to see how many talk in tongues. But this was a full on fire church. Large youth group. I wished I lived in the area so I could attend. Yes, be careful of Oneness churches, they can be very dogmatic.

Well, let me say this thing about a church and it's denomination. Any church can declare any denomination. They can be following the bible very strict. And, any church can be doing their own thing too, making up their own rules.

Interesting. "Catholic" means universal. There is only one church. Perhaps they mean that rather than the interpretation of Roman Catholicism, the cult that claims to be the one true church.

Well on this statement here. They did in fact say, 'Universal Methodist Church'.

I don’t know who you are responding to, since you didn’t reply to anyone but commented below me. Talking in tongues requires an interpreter according to the New Testament Bible, as written by Paul I believe, otherwise they are just edifying themselves and the wind and not the church.

Churches that make up their own rules are called cults.

Also, they usually have people speak in tongues as a sign for nonbelievers.
