The Promise of Messiah
More than 400 years later, God promised King David that the coming one, the “seed” foretold in Eden, would rule over a kingdom that would last forever. That one would be the Messiah, the Deliverer appointed by God to save mankind and restore Paradise to the earth.

Psalm 132:10-11, "For the sake of David Your servant, do not turn away Your Anointed One. You, O Yahweh, vowed to David in truth; You will not fail to perform it: Of the fruit of your body will I set upon your throne."

Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; You are my Father, O Yahweh! You are the Rock of my salvation! And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast with Him. And I will establish his Seed forever, and his throne will be as the days of heaven. Should his children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change the Law that has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness--I cannot lie, and I say to David: His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."

Through David and other prophets, God progressively revealed more about the Messiah. They foretold that he would be humble and kind and that under his rule hunger, injustice, and war would end. All mankind would be at peace with one another and even with the animals. Sickness, suffering, and death—never part of God’s original purpose—would disappear, and people who had died would return to life on earth.

Isayah 9:7, "Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end; upon the throne ofDavid and over His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from that time and forever after. The zeal ofYahweh of hosts will perform this."

Malakyah 4:1-4,"For, behold, the day comes that will burn like an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all who do wickedly, will be stubble--the day that comes will burn them up, says Yahweh of hosts; and it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who reverence My Name, the light of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings; and you will go out, leaping like calves released from the stall. And you will tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I will do this, says Yahweh of hosts. Remember the Law of Mosheh My servant, which I commanded through him in Horeb for all Israyl, with the statutes and judgments."

Malakyah 3:16, "Then those who reverenced Yahweh spoke often one to another, and Yahweh paid attention and heard them; and a Book of Remembrance was written in His presence of those who gave reverence to Yahweh, and who thought upon, His Name."

God foretold through the prophet Micah that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and through the prophet Daniel that he would later be killed. But God would raise the Messiah from the dead and appoint him as King in heaven. Daniel also foresaw that ultimately the Messiah’s Kingdom would permanently replace all other governments

Micah 5:2-4, "But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Yahdah, yet out of you will come forth to Me, the One to be Ruler in Israyl; Whose coming is proclaimed from of old, from ancient times. Therefore, He will give them up, until the time that G5she who is in labor has given birth; then the remnant of His brothers will return to the children of Israyl. He will stand and shepherd in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the Name of Yahweh His Father; and they will abide, for now will He be great to the ends of the earth;"


Daniyl 9:25-26, "Know therefore, and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to rebuild Yerusalem, fto the Messiah the Prince, will be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks; the street will be rebuilt again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah will be cut off, without a successor; and the people of the prince that will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end will be with a flood; and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."

Daniyl 2:34-35, "You watched while a stone, which was cut out without hands, struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them into pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time, and became like the chaff on the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no trace of them could be found; and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."

The Promise of Messiah
God promised faithful Abraham that the foretold “seed” would be one of Abraham’s descendants. By means of that one, people of “all nations” would obtain blessings. (Genesis 22:18) Abraham’s grandson Jacob later moved to Egypt, where his family grew to become the ancient nation of Israel.
Later, in Egypt, a tyrannical Pharaoh enslaved the Israelites until God raised up the prophet Moses, who led the nation out of the country through the miraculously parted waters of the Red Sea. After that, God gave Israel laws, including the Ten Commandments, to guide and protect them. Those laws specified offerings for forgiveness of sins. Inspired by God, Moses told Israel that God would send them another prophet. That prophet would be the promised “seed.”

Practically, the kingdom of God was launched into this sinful world by Jesus Christ.

A lot of people are not aware of that. They are not aware of the kingdom that Jesus brought on earth because this kingdom grows secretly like a seed.

For instance, no other religion, philosophy or political/social system ever thought that you should forgive the one who wronged you, that you should love your enemies, that you should be in peace with yourself, with God and with everybody, that you should take care of a widow, an orphan, an old person, a poor old man etc. I repeat, no other system or religion ever thought that!!! The idea of forgiveness and love are 100% Jesus Christ!

Unfortunately, there have been moments in the history when the Church seemed to have forgotten about these things. But this doesn't change in any way that our King, the king that the Jews expected, has come on earth and showed us the way, the truth and the life. He truly transformed the face of earth.

Yes, there are still people who do evil because God had not taken away their freedom. But as Christ said no evil will be capable of tearing apart the love that exists between God and us. Our mission, as christians, is to live the kingdom of God while on earth. The vocation of Israel (that of being a light to the nations) has now been passed unto us: we are to be lights and salt to this world. We are to do God's will on earth. And what is God's will? Jesus Christ told us: "I want mercy, not sacrifice. Love your enemy, turn your cheek, wash the feet of others, be humble, walk a mile with the one who asks you to walk with him, sacrifice yourself for the sake of others etc."

Luke 17:3-4, "So be on your guard! If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him! But if he repents, forgive him! And if he trespasses against you seven times in one day, and seven times in that day turns to you, and says; I repent; then you must forgive him."

One practice that has been beneficial to me is putting a daily reminder or two in my phone. A reminder to pray and run the righteous principles of the Messiah through my head. The Idea was given to me from a friend. It is really a great help. I feel the presence of the Spirit of Yahweh strongly in these times.

Jerome (4th Century "church father") described these Nazarenes as those "...who accept Messiah in such a way that they do not cease to observe the old Law." (Jerome; On. Is. 8:14).

Acts 24: "24 But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy--so I worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Epiphanius of Salamis (Greek: Ἐπιφάνιος; between 310–320 – 403) was bishop of Salamis, Cyprus at the end of the 4th century.

Epiphanius (Fourth century "church father") writes of the ancient Nazarenes:
But these sectarians... did not call themselves Christians--but "Nazarenes,”... However they are simply complete Jews. They use not only the New Testament but the Old Testament as well, as the Jews do... They have no different ideas, but confess everything exactly as the Law proclaims it and in the Jewish fashion-- except for their belief in Messiah, if you please! For they acknowledge both the resurrection of the dead and the divine creation of all things, and declare that God is one, and that his son is Yeshua the Messiah. They are trained to a nicety in Hebrew. For among them the entire Law, the Prophets, and the... Writings... are read in Hebrew, as they surely are by the Jews. They are different from the Jews, and different from Christians, only in the following. They disagree with Jews because they have come to faith in Messiah; but since they are still fettered by the Law--circumcision, the Sabbath, and the rest-- they are not in accord with Christians.... they are nothing but Jews.... Jerome tells us that the Nazarenes must have been on generally good terms with the Jews during early times, because in the same letter to Augustine he indicates that they were to be found "in all the synagogues of the East among the Jews" (ibid.).

However, this peaceful, placid, halcyon period of time did not last, in all places. Writes Ray Pritz, in Nazarene Jewish Christianity,

"On the Jewish side, the exclusion of the Nazarenes was not nearly so gradual. At the end of the first century, the birkat ha-minim was formulated with the sect specifically named. This is recorded in both patristic and Jewish sources. Nonetheless, we have found it possible that there was some limited synagogue attendance by Nazarenes into the early decades of the second century. In addition to this, we find continued contact between the two communities in the form of a polemic or dialogue. Such contact should not surprise us, since the Nazarenes lived in the same geographical areas with predominantly Jewish communities. However, as the polemic and distrust grew, the separation and isolation from the Jewish community were increased. Different steps along the way effected this separation: the flight to Pella, the birkat ha-minim, the refusal of the Nazarenes to recognize and support Bar Kochba. By the middle of the second century, the rift was probably complete" (p. 109).
