I'll get mocked for this one because people are used to taking OTC drugs like it's candy.
Did you know that OTCs And Rx drugs are often very dangerous?
They are dose and frequency dependent. They have a half life that can become accumulative. Drs don't tell you that and nurses don't usually care. In the hospitals, they just follow the protocols they are given.
They should know better, but some are willfully ignorant. That.means they don't WANT to know the truth and are stupid. If that sounds disrespectful or harsh, it is intended to be. I don't expect members of this forum giving their 2¢ to know, but medical "professionals " who are giving dangerous chemicals to their patients should not victimize them by harming them. If there is a more offensive word than Stupid for the nurses and doctors and techs who harm patients then I want to start using it. There is no word that harms those monsters more than their commission of murder of those they tie down and force feed poisons to. I can give plenty of examples.
One example is my best friend that I warned about his prophylactic use of yes, ASPIRIN. Go ahead and snicker you mockers. This was my friend who has the idea that moderate medical Drs had the right idea that aspirin was a heart healthy drug. I suggested a handful of safer and more effective options to him, but who the **** am I ? I'm not some prestigious scrub wearing arrogant guy with a latex tube draped over his neck to spread infections to all his customers all day long in his multimillion dollar palace temple.
My friend started pissing and crapping blood until he died from that harmless over the counter heart healthy low dose blood thinner.
Is that going to happen when you want to take some to take the edge off the pain to get to sleep? Probably not, but the more frequent you do, the higher the odds, especially if you are over a certain age where healing is slower. IF a medical doctor cared just a little, he/ she would try to find out what is causing the pain and know their limitations. Healing comes from nutrition and a number of other factors. Drugs/ chemicals are not panaceas of healing.
I'm not opposed to those who have benefitted from the temporary use of drugs to kill cancer or parasites. What I am against are Drs who established a fake view that God's healing comes from their intervention and drug use while demonizing what God created for our health.
The Christian Scientists group is opposed to both doctors and prescription medicines.
Sadly, there is a history where the children of those believers have died because what would have been a treatable condition through medicines was deemed for hidden them.
God told us that plants are as medicine. The pharmacopeia Doctor's use today began from the primitives understanding of this.
In my view, those who would let their baby die because they think prayer is superior to medicinal help,when it is God who led humanity into the healing arts,are demonic.

Hobart Freeman's church in Warsaw Indiana back in the '70s FORBADE it's members to have anything to do with the Medical profession, or to take drugs - SINCE that would be an indication that your FAITH was defective - I.E. Isaiah presents Jesus as the one who PHYSICALLY HEALS, and going to doctors instead shows that you don't believe that. Hobart's "body count was over 100 by the time HE died of a treatable infection, that he'd been "Healed of" by faith.
Personally I'm on about 13 prescription drugs including 2 for pain, and Cholesterol, and diabetes, and advanced coronary artery disease - etc. Personally, SO Far I've have 13 heart attacks, two open-heart procedures, one Rotoblator procedure, 21 Stents, and an artificial Aortic bovine heart valve. Back in '90, the cardios gave me until 2004, so the joke's on them.
back in the day WoF parents were withholding insulin from their diabetic kids, and killing them "IN FAITH".
Bottom line: If you've been healed BY FAITH, then drugs won't be necessary. If some religious idiot tries to condemn you for taking medications, tem 'em to stick it where the sun don't shine, and walk away.

Jesus never sent anyone to a DR. and the is zero evidence Luke practiced medicine after Jesus taught him the Creators healing.
My original post was not actually aimed at the intent medication is evil. I said sometimes the side effects created are evil. Trying to cure one ailment and end up with a second one kind of interjection to the meaning of my post. I say all of that because every Saturday my Mother has a pill caddy for every day of the week and each day there's pills for breakfast, noon, supper, bedtime. She ends up swallowing roughly 20 to 25 pills per day. Grant it some are the same medication but in different dosages. Then She is also diabetic and I give Her 20 mg and 50 mg of 2 forms of insulin.
What I am saying is it is too late for Her to go back and reevaluate. She's been on the same regiment now for the past 45 years. She would die if She stopped taking Her medication barring a miracle from God. It's heartbreaking and gut wrenching. But we are literally trapped holding onto faith in Her medication to keep Her with us.
My Dad suffered pretty much the same issue and we buried Him in 2017. Sadly it is what it is.
I stand in honor and I salute Your Service to this Great Nation of ours. I am thankful that all human beings have the ability to receive the medications required to keep them healthy and alive.
As a true fan of Science {Biology} and Mathematics {Formulas to create Medications} it reminds me of God Almighty. He is the Ultimate Lab Guru and we are able to imitate Him. I just wished our ability in Microbiology/Biology/Science + Mathematics/Chemistry was more refined to where the Outcome does the job but without the possible side effects.

However, not having a medical background of my own, I have often wondered why they call vaccines developed in today's world vaccines!
As I grew up I saw various vaccines come into the world. The one I remember most is the Polio vaccine! However, smallpox, measles & others came along as well.
These vaccines pretty much eliminated the disease that they were developed to prevent.
So, I always thought of a vaccine as a medicine that eliminated something. However, in today's world vaccines such as a flu vac, may reduce the chance – but do not eliminate anything!
That's just one example, there are many more..............

We don't have any reason to believe that Luke or any physician at that time used the same diagnostics and petroleum based drugs that are used today. However, we see that the love of money was a motivation and that in spite of much money spent on many Drs, she was worse for their treatment.
The history of the Snake Oil salesman that made a fortune in the civil war and later gained a monopoly over the other fields of health are far different than learning how Jesus created us and what is needed for health. People today tend to believe that the sole field of chemical based pharmakia is a wholesome institution based upon truth and health. The propaganda has been very effective in providing that industry a monopoly for many generations.
I have NO affiliation with those evil religions. I'm Not a 7th Day Adventist either. My early religious background is from evangelical Baptist churches that had unhealthy pastors who wrongly pointed people to medical Drs for health advice. I have no hard feelings. It's just the reality of many churches.
People in general tend to commit their health decisions to those who they mistakenly believe are educated in actual health care. They even labeled their education as "health care." Even the doctorate professor who heads the dieticians program is shamefully incompetent. The proof is in the fruit of her state certified graduates.
I have a spiritual gift called discernment of spirits. That is exercised by God's grace in all areas of life including health. I've been provided an interest in health that is beyond the local medical Drs and various health care workers. I also come from a medical family and got to know 9 hospital administrators personally. I knew others. Many were close friends, family, and heads of a hospital I worked at. If anyone should have an educated bias towards drugs and the industry, most would think I would.
I don't know it all, but I know enough to have formed many educated opinions. Since they put down my Mom like a dog in a pound, I have no regards or respect for their sham and scam.
That said, I love my real brothers and sisters here. Some of you are likely in a medical institution of some sort. I will withhold my stern judgement and place it directly upon those who are truly culpable. Those are the locals that I have had dealings with who superceded their authority and falsified their qualifications bringing harm to loved ones.

There is some linkage between drugs and witchcraft. However, even in the book of Revelation there are trees with healing in the leaves (Revelation 22:2).
Some drugs should either avoided or treated with great care. I had fentanyl in hospital. It felt wonderful. I refused another dose in spite of my pain. I could tell how addictive it could be.
There are drugs that affect the mind, and they are dangerous. Sometimes the supposed cure is worse than the disease. Too often a drug is prescribed when counseling would solve the problem. A drug may conceal the symptoms, but the underlying issue is not resolved.
The right medications can extend both the length of life and improve the quality of life. Sure, it would be better not to require them. I have a heart condition. Even though I was not overweight and reasonably fit, I still developed atrial fibrillation. I get a bout every now and again. The meds prevent my heart rate from going through the roof and I have something to limit the chance of a stroke.
Even supposedly harmless marijuana can be dangerous. Homeopathy "remedies"? I avoid them like the plague. I also take very few vitamins. Eating well is sufficient for most people. Feeling better does not mean something is working. It can easily be psychological.
