The other day I overheard what was probably THE strangest belief I ever heard of when it comes to medicines and anything that comes from a pharmacy. It sounded like they were attempting to state that all pharmacy was demonic and we should never take a single pill for any ailment. I scratched my head on that one for sure. So they mean to tell me that my aspirin will get me thrown into hell? Or how about folks with high blood pressure who have a medical doctor prescribe certain blood pressure meds to help them? Are they all wrong? What on Earth is this about folks? Are they saying that if a doctor prescribes me something for an ailment and I take it I am doomed or something? What do you think? Is aspirin really bad?
The Christian Scientists group is opposed to both doctors and prescription medicines. The other day I overheard what was probably THE strangest belief I ever heard of when it comes to medicines and anything that comes from a pharmacy. I am one of those people, myself. You can find people that will say almost everything is demonic. No point in giving them any mind.
I am one of those people. I take meds that I need in order to live. You make a great point because I never heard those things from the Lord in my heart. He never said anything to me about it. I know faith-filled, Holy Ghost-filled believers walking with Christ who are on medications. Some of them are on a lot of them pertaining to their medical condition and advancement in years being elderly. I knew one man who survived 5 heart attacks! He was like a walking pharmacy. He had bags of meds just to stay alive! So, when I heard all of that I thought, ok there is no way I am about to go and condemn a whole bunch of folks who I know are my brothers and sisters in Christ over some idea that may not even be of God.
it's the homework we all have to do in al. amen!Pharma alleviates symptoms but has no proven cure for influenza.
Often a Dr will say take something to reduce fever for instance. Why do you get a fever? It's your body's way of "killing off" the virus load, an essential component of the immune system. Last time a client got sick, he complained about his low grade fever.
I told him that he should recover shortly after. He did and felt much better the followers day. If he took some chemical to bring the fever down, his illness would have probably been prolonged. God designed our bodies miraculously to deal with challenges. That's why I don't glorify the creatures that push chemicals, but rather the Creator Who is blessed forever. Amen?

and the wait times can be horrible!I recommend you learn everything you can and beware the VA staff. There are good ones, but they earned their reputation for passing out bloody gowns to vets to taking their lives away faster than a hot war. You don't want to go home sooner than necessary brother.
Jesus never sent anyone to a DR. and the is zero evidence Luke practiced medicine after Jesus taught him the Creators healing.all sickness, disease, accidents, lack, etc. are attacks from the evil one
Oh my goodness!!! You are a walking miracle...SO Far I've have 13 heart attacks, two open-heart procedures, one Rotoblator procedure, 21 Stents, and
an artificial Aortic bovine heart valve. Back in '90, the cardios gave me until 2004, so the joke's on them.
You left out...to make you a repeat paying customer.I was in the medical field for 23 years so I have some experience here.
I am not against medicine or medication. But I think it is wise to understand that the medical system is designed around three principles: 1) to get you back to school, 2) to get you back to work, 3) to reduce your burden on society. All three may not apply to you but at least one will.
Please be assured: I'm not criticizing the people in the system or those who use the system, only the system itself. We may be in the world while not being of the world.
More often then not, when believers want to either be faithful for their healing or apply medical measures I encourage them to apply both.
My original post was not actually aimed at the intent medication is evil. I said sometimes the side effects created are evil. Trying to cure one ailment and end up with a second one kind of interjection to the meaning of my post. I say all of that because every Saturday my Mother has a pill caddy for every day of the week and each day there's pills for breakfast, noon, supper, bedtime. She ends up swallowing roughly 20 to 25 pills per day. Grant it some are the same medication but in different dosages. Then She is also diabetic and I give Her 20 mg and 50 mg of 2 forms of insulin.I see, what you say. I see especially when Christ stated in was your Faith that healed you. Asked many a time, do you believe? =Yes was the answer and so it was so. As I see when he left his own home town, many were not healed because of their unbelief
Believe, receive and see. If not yet, might want to take a prescription to get by for now. I am on prescriptions also
Not as much as was at first, yet I take over the counter St John's wart and Insulin for diabetes and blood pressure meds to keep pressure not too high or too low
Per my Doctors in VA thanks yes I am a Vet also
I see to trust God and do as led and see and find out. As I have been doing for a long tine now, making it through my adversities I have been through
Whenever my time is to go home, then I will go there and see me as there already in trust humbly thank you
Holy Moly .. You know about the Sect known as the Glory Barn?Sounds like "Word of Faith" stupidity!!!
Hobart Freeman's church in Warsaw Indiana back in the '70s FORBADE it's members to have anything to do with the Medical profession, or to take drugs - SINCE that would be an indication that your FAITH was defective - I.E. Isaiah presents Jesus as the one who PHYSICALLY HEALS, and going to doctors instead shows that you don't believe that. Hobart's "body count was over 100 by the time HE died of a treatable infection, that he'd been "Healed of" by faith.
Personally I'm on about 13 prescription drugs including 2 for pain, and Cholesterol, and diabetes, and advanced coronary artery disease - etc. Personally, SO Far I've have 13 heart attacks, two open-heart procedures, one Rotoblator procedure, 21 Stents, and an artificial Aortic bovine heart valve. Back in '90, the cardios gave me until 2004, so the joke's on them.
back in the day WoF parents were withholding insulin from their diabetic kids, and killing them "IN FAITH".
Bottom line: If you've been healed BY FAITH, then drugs won't be necessary. If some religious idiot tries to condemn you for taking medications, tem 'em to stick it where the sun don't shine, and walk away.
and the wait times can be horrible!

Sometimes you'll meet people like that but the majority of them will come from the jehovah witness and the scientologist
real comforting thing to tell someone when they are sick. i sure hope no one tells you to just rot with your demons when you got pneumonia.all sickness, disease, accidents, lack, etc. are attacks from the evil one
its the mrna technology i presume. the covid vaccines did a terrible job.you were better off having the covid.I've had my share of medical problems and I am thankful for all the people who have helped me recover.
However, not having a medical background of my own, I have often wondered why they call vaccines developed in today's world vaccines!
As I grew up I saw various vaccines come into the world. The one I remember most is the Polio vaccine! However, smallpox, measles & others came along as well.
These vaccines pretty much eliminated the disease that they were developed to prevent.
So, I always thought of a vaccine as a medicine that eliminated something. However, in today's world vaccines such as a flu vac, may reduce the chance – but do not eliminate anything!
That's just one example, there are many more..............
yeah thats enough for me today. are you aware st.paul left trophimus sick?Jesus never sent anyone to a DR. and the is zero evidence Luke practiced medicine after Jesus taught him the Creators healing.
There is some linkage between drugs and witchcraft. However, even in the book of Revelation there are trees with healing in the leaves (Revelation 22:2).The other day I overheard what was probably THE strangest belief I ever heard of when it comes to medicines and anything that comes from a pharmacy.
