Back when music had poetic words that meant more than their flat definitions....
People used actual talent and didn't rely on algorithms and auto-tune to spit out a "hit song". The singers weren't the prettiest people with $6,000 t-shirts...but they could actually sing and perform.

Oh you can still find some good ones. It's just these days they get drowned out a lot by the flood of auto-tuned voices with puff piece songs.
Kinda like disco. Everyone remembers "I will survive" but I can't think of a single other disco song. Most modern music has become flooded with puff pieces like disco used to be flooded.
Good music is still there though. You just have to dig a bit more to find it.

I saw them live... must have been some time around '93 or '94
Maybe? They were billed with Nazareth, Uriah Heep, and most likely Wishbone Ash
I was there mostly for BOC and Uriah Heep
