That's my problem too. I often say what others are all thinking but try to deny it in order to try to look more holy.

Eh... I got a mixed record on that. Sometimes I'm too transparent when a filter would actually have been appropriate.

But yeah, I don't like the "church face". If I'm cranky, on a Sunday morning I don't act as if I have the joy of the Lord (though I don't take it out on people either).

Here's something that bugs me: I feel so conflicted inside whenever I seem to want something God's not providing. I know I'm supposed to be all about His will, but I have the sinful nature that has not completely given way to God. Then, we sing hymns that speak of wanting God's way more than anything... I see all the people in church singing these words... and I'm thinking, are they just saying those words to sing the song, are they unself-aware, or am I one crappy Christian???

When I sometimes ask people about things like this, I get a very human answer. But then, my question becomes 'then why did you sing those words, or why are you lecturing me about my lack of faith or submission?'

God will answer any prayer that is aligned with his will and desire. You are correct in the NOT NOW or WAIT and SEE aspect.

I was never a fan of the 70s Im sorry to say...! I am not sure I could handle the decor if we went that retro and the fights over who gets to watch what on the tv

I think salons might only be boring for you if you are a boring person yourself.
