The Reformed add criteria?Good point indeed!
Suffice it say since I have been on CC, before under an different moniker it is the same old story they will never pin it down, how much works, how much obedience and it will go round and round... much like with the ... *cough* *cough* ... Reformed crowd.
They will say yes a person is saved .... but then they will add in all the extra criteria that must be met.
When....
Before salvation
or
After salvation?
The Reformed add criteria?
But I thought God predestined it all?
And how come you're still here
but I have to wait till the morning?
You're a sneaky one.
So you prefer to stay closed minded to the truth. This is the same reason R.E. McAlister was labeled a heretic. Modalism is heresy.
There is one God so at least you have that going for you. I’ll be praying for your eyes to be opened. Love ya.

I said you either believe that Jesus had identity issues or you believed in 3 gods. I supplied verses and you refused to explain them as to how they make sense without the trinity. I mean if you have the truth and love others, would you not want to explain to them the truth? So I don't belive the trinity.
But I believe in ONE GOD.
So to you I believe in 2 gods and that makes me not a Christian.
Is that right?
If so HOW DO I BELIEVE IN TWO gods?
WHICH ONES?
People do good works even before salvation.Good works are impossible before salvation.

Precious friend, appreciate your respect. I guess...Why are you surprised @GRACE_ambassador ?
I respect your comments.
The good works/deeds we do before salvation come from our faith? They all come from the same place ... Faith.
Before salvation - the faith of Christ
After salvation - the faith we are given as we trust in the Christ.
Here are the commands of jesus we are to obey:Precious friend, appreciate your respect. I guess...
...it could have been a bad work on my behalf, for which, In
Eternal [ "Grace Through faith" ] Life, I will probably "suffer loss for wood, hay, stubble"
At The Judgment Seat Of Christ.

These may be helpful for the discussion of "which Commands" we should "be obeying", eh?
I have decided to follow Jesus?

Oh.Second line is not about about the Reformed Clan... it is in referenceto the Maintain Your Salvation Clan.
Yeah I gotta go I have work to do.
Please quote where I said Jesus had identity issues. You said JESUS has identity issues!!
I also gave you verse to prove JESUS is GOD.
What are your three gods names?
Have you ever met anyone who even tried to obey them all? I haven'tHere are the commands of jesus we are to obey:
ALL OF THEM!!
I say good works are impossible before salvation because it is the intention behind those works that matter. Sure I can give money to someone before I am saved. From an external view that seems to be good. But why am I doing it? Am I doing for God? No. For the most part people attempt to do good on their own to make themselves feel better. It does feel good to help others. Before salvation we do good out of selfish intentions.People do good works even before salvation.
A good work is just doing something that is good and not evil.
it could be giving the cashier a smile.
It's even making dinner for the family.
Problem is that BEFORE salvation good works count for other persons, in some way or other,
but they don't count for God ...... for our salvation.
AFTER salvation, our good works are counted as righteousness (being right with God)
because we are obeying the One in whom we believe...
we are doing what He taught us to do through His word and through the Apostles teachings.
So now we do everything for God...as scripture teaches...and this is pleasing to God.
Asking how many good works are necessary
Stating that if we're not perfect it won't matter
are strawmen and do not contribute to the correct understanding of what our faith teaches.
I don't understand why obedience to Jesus must be debated.
Have you ever met anyone who ever knows them all?Have you ever met anyone who even tried to obey them all? I haven't
Whew!Have you ever met anyone who even tried to obey them all? I haven't
Well if we're referring to Christ's commands in the gospels yes, I assumed that is what the statement related toHave you ever met anyone who ever knows them all?
I do believe I said exactly the same.I say good works are impossible before salvation because it is the intention behind those works that matter. Sure I can give money to someone before I am saved. OK, so if someone asked to lend from you, you'd happily lend to them without ever expecting anything backWhew!
So....
Which of Jesus' commands do you believe we are supposed to NOT obey?
Ignore...
make believe they don't exist....
Was jesus just speaking to make a noise?
Did He mean what He taught?
Yes sir....
We're SUPPOSED to obey them all.
God is not joking with us.
And if you're going to post back as to.
1. How MANY do we need to obey to be saved
or
2. Am I perfect...
Please don't even respond.
