Oh I understand perfectly.. the problem is you have no answer.

But I can wait..maybe tomorrow.
Have posted and replied.

If you don't like the answer,,,that's not my problem.

Haven't seen any scripture yet and I've provided some already.

Non need to wait till tomorrow...I'm here right now.

Please respond with scripture.

Matthew 25:41-46
41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;
43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’
44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not [e]take care of You?’
45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Jesus will judge us on what we have done.

So works do save... I am confused.
What is the context of this passage, do you know?

Are we now off of traslations????

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Yes HE said "IN THE NAME OF" what is the name of?

I know it gets and sounds confusing, but JESUS was 100% human and 100% GOD.

That is why we have to put ALL of HIS word together.

John 1:1
King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Matthew 28:18
King James Version
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Let me ask you, did JESUS disciples obey HIM as they baptized in JESUS name?

Or did they KNOW WHO HE WAS?

John 14,
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Philip was telling HIM, show us the fater and it will make us happy!!

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

Why did they baptized in JESUS name ONLY????

Because THEY KNEW WHO JESUS was, and baptized the way JESUS told them to.

I only learn from HIS WORD.
I stuck to the KJV for you since you seem to disregard all other versions even the oldest Greek manuscripts we have. You seem to put the KJV translators as being more Spirit filled than the authors of the original language.

In the name of. We can go ahead and get technical with the name of Jesus if you want to. Jesus is a transliteration of the name Yeshua or Yehoshua but I would guess you would say I’m wrong on that too.

“That is why we have to put ALL of HIS word together.” You mean that is why we have to twist His words to match what the disciples did.

John 14:8-9. If His Spirit is in me does that make me God? NO. But if one sees the fruit that comes from me then have they not seen the Spirit? The Son being in the Father and Father being in the Son does not make the Father the Son nor the Som the Father just as His Spirit in me doesn’t make me Him.

Do you wish to disregard the rest of the verses I posted or are you willing to explain them?

So a little missteps are okay because we all do it..that is your reasoning?
Please provide scripture that states that

It is not necessary to obey Jesus.
Jesus did not teach that we are to do good works.

Thanks.

The KJV should not be used by some.
It's a double effort....
first it has to be translated into "English"...
then is still has to be exegeted.

Modern versions are easier to understand
AND
They were written with much more information available as to the meanings of words/ideas.

Let's just go back here.
Are you asserting that Jesus in this passage is teaching that works will save a person.

Let's just go back here.

Yes sir.

I AM asserting that Jesus demands obedience.
Jesus is God.
God does not give recommendatons.
He gives commands.

Jesus is stating what we must DO....
He states that if we DO NOT DO what He teaches...He will tell us to go away into eternal punishment.

Matthew 25:
41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

Agreed.

But you said "true faith"....
there are different types of faith?

There is always some confusion on this topic.

You say faith produces obedience.
That obedience includes doing good works.

Another member is asking how many good works are necessary..which means he does not understand this
concept at all.

So a quick question would be this:

Does Jesus teach good works or not?
Do we obey Jesus or not?
Do we do good works or not?
I’ll put it this way. Do i like miracles? Yes I love them. But if we focus on the miracles we will miss the Miracle Worker. Same with good works. Focus too much on the works and we’ll miss the One that produces those works. Focus on Him and works will come naturally.

Well at least we have that straight.
Well I will break this down for you (later) to show you are wrong, not that you will change you belief system, because after all these years FranC you are mostly still the same. ;)

Who's focusing on good works?

There are members on these Forums who teach what sounds like the idea that obedience to God is not necessary by proclaiming that good works are not necessary for salvation.

THIS is not what Jesus taught.

AFTER a persons is saved,,,they are rquired to OBEY jesus' commands.

If we obey,,,
we will do good works.

New Christians are sometimes confused by some statements made by older Christians.

I know we all want to obey our Lord and I know we try to do good...
so why not make it SOUND like this??

And I will remain the same.

As will you.

Even though your words do not SOUND like they're in keeping with what Jesus taught.

So it'll take till tomorrow?

I could post a page of scripture right now.

What's the problem?

Matthew 7.21
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

Paul, of course, taught the same:

Ephesians 2:10
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them
.

Titus 3:4
4And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.

Colossians 3:23-24
23Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Well at least we have that straight.

your later is my tomorrow...
but no matter.

I posted the very words of Jesus...
and you tell me I'M wrong.

Interesting.

Ahh .. beautiful Italy.
The best forever and always!!
Although I do like Japan a lot very clean, orderly and friendly people!

No sir.
John 3:13 is not what I'm referring to.

Go back and read my post.
Apparently you didn't understand it and are going down some rabbit hole.

I'm not following you there.

YOU!!!

ouch

You said that you believe Jesus is God.

That's ONE GOD.

Then you said that while Jesus was on earth....God creator, Father,
was in heaven.

That's TWO GODS.

So you believe in at least two Gods.
I thought you were Christian??

The Christian RELIGION teaches that there is only one God.
It is a monotheistic religion.

Maybe you're of a different religion?

My response,
I'm not playing stupid games, get to your point.

JESUS IS GOD!!!

I don't care if you don't think I'm a Christaian I can't control what you think.

Already have. You simply ignore what is written.

Been there, done that, many times already. You are the one arguing with what's written.

I gave you what Jesus said but you prefer your interpretation what Peter said.

LOL, by by
