Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some advice and experiences around maintaining good eye care in daily life. With so much screen time from work, phones, and entertainment, my eyes often feel strained and dry by the end of the day.

I try to follow basic habits like taking breaks and adjusting brightness, but I’m not sure if that’s enough. I recently came across the term Superior Eye Care and it made me wonder what truly sets good eye care apart from average routines. Are there specific exercises, diets, or products you recommend? How often should eye exams really be scheduled?

I’d love to hear what’s worked best for you.

I'm a Health Coach and Nutritionist, not an opthalmologist. My perspective tends to be different from medical treatments. My perspective looks at providing what our bodies need for repair and detoxification. Most importantly is that the Lord provides healing and any information for that to take place.

Our eyes need the full compliment of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and some specific ones.

I also had that problem from too much screen time.
I went outside one night when the weather was nice and noticed a shadow in my field of vision that was quite concerning. That's a potential symptom of Macular Degeneration. The shadow showed distinctly in the moonlight as an oblong shape. I tried to remember if I accidentally poked my eye recently or other reasons.
I think it was too much stress on the close bright screen without adequate nutrition to repair.
My healing has been slow since I had a series of life changing traumas.

I'm not saying it's wrong to go to a good opthalmologist. I'm simply predicting that
If I went to an opthalmologist, he'd Rx steroidal drops and perhaps Ocuvits brand vitamins. They are very low dose and inadequate, however Drs Rx them for 20 years. Steroids often cause more problems as the expense for for short term relief.

Instead:
I prayed to God for healing. He is my Great Physician so I must give Him all the credit that He deserves. He leads me to do what is best.

Then I found a bottle in storage of Lutein and Zeaxanthin which are carotenoids that accumulate in the retina, that filters harmful blue screen light and reduces the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts.
He gave me sweet potatoes at 25¢/pound, which have beta carotene that's converted to vitamin A for ocular health.

Two days later, I was healed!
I just checked again and I still see clearly without that shadow in my vision!

Praise to You Lord!
I meant to give you all the glory publicly because of your tremendous kindness.
I love you with all my heart!
Maybe my brother can be blessed by You too in this way.

lomarespio,

In addition to the nutrients that I already mentioned, I would look for high quality fish oil that is verified to not be rancid. That has helped others with dry eyes.
