I am trying to get back, and brining my wife with me. She, and I for that matter, have so many questions. Her biggest, mine to I guess, is she is not baptized. We are in the process of looking for a good local church, but in the meantime we are worried that if the end time comes before she is baptized, will she be lost? Thanks!

Hi,
I can't speak for the Lord; I can only share my own thoughts.
John 3:16 might be helpful. Still, I would urge you to find a church. You will never find a perfect church, I wouldn't think. Still, I believe that is where we belong.
As for answers, pray to the Lord. Read your Bible, especially Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Your church might provide you with answers, too.

Hey I find music helps me a lot and reading some books I am reading the purpose driven life and it has some awsome scripture in it

Why not baptize each other? Unless scripture says it has to be a church leader. Anybody know why we cant? Welcome and God bless. Pickles

I asked others here and yes, you could baptize each other. I think it would be a wonderful way to bring the Love of Jesus and your love in marriage together. God bless, pickles

I'm a Baptist myself, and I've had some questions about it too in the past...Nowhere in the Bible does it say that if you aren't baptized that you willl go to hell. Water doesnt save people, that's God's job. If your wife has a personal relationship w/ Jesus Christ, she's in good shape. But, Jesus does command that we should be baptized, as an act of obedience to Him. Baptism is just like a confession of your faith and is symbolic of your spiritual re-birth. And the others are right, it doesnt matter who does it as long as it is done in the name of the Jesus Christ. =) Amy81986 is right, it is a pretty amazing experience !

I was Holy Spirit baptised in a pentecostal church where the Holy Spirit came upon me and I was washed as white as snow by the blood of the Lamb. In an instant every bad thing i'd done was lifted from my shoulders and I became a dwelling place for the Lord. It was a very intense specific event and I absolutely know that it was my baptism of the spirit. I did however think it was correct to get water baptised so I did that with my husband in 1996 in the Baptist Church we attend. For me the water baptism was all good but it was not the spiritual experience that my Holy Spirit baptism was. My husband however, who grew up in the Catholic church & accepted the "religion" because it is what his dad taught him was filled with the Holy Spirit on the day we were water baptised. So we both had our reborn experience but one with water & one without one in a Baptist Church and one in Pentecostal . :)

Thank you all for all the kind responses! Gives us some options. I think I am going to incorporate it somehow with our 10th wedding anniversary! God bless all and Keep The Faith!!!
