Help me. I am looking for a church that does not forsake the gathering of people together as is the habit of some, and will not be ruled by the teachings and precepts of men regardless of what is going on. By gosh, I love truth and live by truth point me in the right direction so I can accomplish great works for Him. Mesa AZ. Ifr He wants me there and enables it I will move to the very corners of the earth.

My sister lives in Scottsdale in winter, and has found an excellent church. It is some kind of community church. She was saved 2 years ago, and spent all her early years going to this church. She has really grown tremendously. It astounds me the things she says to me. I feel sometimes I am the new Christian and she is the wise, old mature Christian. I imagine it is a good church. I can get the name, if that isn't too far. I think they have campuses over the Phoenix area.

When the Holy Spirit has come into us, we know all, then we start getting comfortable and lazy. We ut continually renew our knowledge of th Truth as delivered us by the Holy Spirit.
When anyone is newly informed, they know a lot and share more than later intheir walks. Not because it should or should not be so, it just is. This is why we cometogether to hear and share what we are keeping, and what we are contantly learning.
My goodness, I was sharing things of the HOly Spirit with folks before having read it in the Word, so do not be surprised at your wonderful sister and her knowledge. You have it too, just being reminded..All love in Jesus.........

When the Lord exempted the gentiles from needing to practice physical practices that God gave the Israelites to do to help them understand the spiritual like fleshly circumcision, it caused an upheaval in the church we are feeling today. We are exempt from Jewish customs, but there is no scripture that defines what is a custom and what is something the Lord wants us to do.
To complicate it all, Constantine was instrumental in setting up church policy, and one of his orders consisted of "if the Jews do it, we are not to do it for the Jews are an evil people". He was the first to tell of the need to use Sunday as the sabbath, for example. Constantine was used mightily by the Lord, but as you can see Constantine did not know scripture.
The result of this is that if you study scripture as the true source of knowing God, there is a terrific amount of untangling to be done. Finding a church that is trying to untangle all this is very difficult.

Google Assemblies of God church near me. Then visit the one that is closest to you first. Visit all that are close to you. The AOG local churches can be very different even in the same town. They are not technically a denomination, but rather individual autonomous self governed local churches that are loosely voluntarily cooperate together for the purpose of pooling their resources together for fulfilling the Great Commission. You will find a no compromise message about holiness and being empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission. Of course I agree with the doctrines of the AOG and that is one reason I recommend AOG but also I have heard many testimonies through the years about people finding a strong group of on fire soul winners with a real zeal for God who are real and genuine when it comes to living for Jesus and encouraging one another daily. You will quickly find a family of life long friends. AOG normally have at least 80% attenders on any given Sunday Morning who are truly born again and living a no compromise life of faith and holiness, and maybe 20% who are not yet born again. (Adults). Many other denominations have a reverse culture of 80% not yet born again and only 20% really living for Christ. I did not make that up. Billy Graham was one who is often quoted as stating that his own denomination, the Southern Baptist, would consist of only 20% on any given Sunday Morning who were born again. This statistic has continued to be about correct across most evangelical denominations through the years. I have been recommending AOG to people for years and I have only heard positive reports from every one who has visited one after my recommendation. I have never been given a negative report and I doubt that you will be the first one.
I believe that the first thing that you should do, is to pray and ask God to reveal to you which church is the right church.
I have visited many churches, and they all claim to preach the truth, but God knows which church is the right one.
It is a good idea to also research the teachings of different churches by looking at their websites and comparing their beliefs to the bible.
