Explain to your parents what you believe about what they are asking you to do ... that it is not something you want to do for them.
God works on our hearts when we are doing something (or thinking about doing something) we shouldn't be doing. If we ignore God's proddings and do whatever we want anyway, that is not a good way for us to live our lives. And sometimes when God works on our hearts and we do as He guides us, we end up irritating other people who think we should do what they want us to do. At that point, we need to stick with God.

I know Jesus came to bring a “sword,” but this just seems like such a trivial matter for me to cause so much disruption within my family…
Also I think my Dad threw away those course books, so assuming I want to translate course material, we’d have to buy some stuff it seems.
